  • Great thread stand
This is a very sturdy stand and love being able to have thread ready to go into the embroidery machine. Went together easy. If you have the space I think this would be a great addition to your embroidery needs.

  • A must for machine embroidery
I already have a 10 Spool thread stand, but with 2 embroidery machines, I found the need for another. This 20 spool stand is comparable to the Brother brand that I have at a considerable savings. It was relatively easy to assemble. Mine was well package so I did not have any of the sand issues other reviewers had. My only confusing part was the thread guide on each level. The guide does go in the front of the stand and it is to be inserted right next to the #5 hole. That is for both levels. A little confusing. The spring/cutter thing on the top was more of a nuisance than a help to me. I do have a tip I picked up on Youtube. If you have mini clips, clip the end of your threads to the top of each thread slot on top. This really keeps the loose ends of all those threads from getting tangled up with each other. When you are ready to change color, slip the clip back down on the thread and then clip the thread under the clip. Pull the discarded thread tail back down through your machine. So much easier now. My only con is the instructions. There are some pieces to this stand that are a little confusing on how to use them. I will probably never need them and it is nice to have in case I find out how. There are no videos showing you how to use. It does include an attachment for lubricating your thread. Maybe that will be helpful with metallic threads. It would be nice if they had said something about this. ... show more

  • Great thread holder but better usage directions are needed -especially for attachment parts
I purchased this because I was tired of having to switch out embroidery threads on my machine (I have a 6 thread holder that attaches to my MC15000 Quiltmaker). I love that I can set out all my threads and have them ready to go. HOWEVER the usage directions for how to thread and using the extra attachments is sadly lacking. I have pretty much just gone to try it this way, if it doesn't work, try it another way. There are several attachments that have flannel with what looks to be velcro inside. I believe this is to help stop twisting of the thread as it comes off a vertical spool of thread, but without instructions I am not sure if that is the case or even whether I place the thread through it before or after going through a thread guide. As I said, it has been hit and miss for me with this issue. There are a couple of youtube videos for similar products that have helped. (Metal spring at the top is to hold and cut threads, black pieces help to hold big spools in place-X goes on top and spool pushes down onto it) If you just place your spools onto the holder and place the thread through the loops at the top it does work but I would love to know what the extra pieces are specifically for and how to properly use them. If anyone out there actually has instructions on how to use the extra pieces I would love a copy or link to it. ... show more

  • Great thread rack
This rack has made my machine embroidery so much easier. Having the threads all lined up in the order that they come has made my craft so much easier.

  • Ok but leaked sand that is used as weight.
With a single needle embroidery machine I know this will make my life easier. Although….when I took it out of the box the base was leaking sand. I turned it over and saw that the cover for the sand was not sealed around the edges and was held on with wood screws…really??? I didn’t want to return it so I caulked around each side and it prevents the sand from coming out. Easy fix but again…really! The instruction booklet was pretty easy to follow except #29 had a picture but no explaination so I have no idea how to use that part. ... show more

  • Thread holder
Been looking for something like this to hold my thread that I was embroidering with instead of having them drop to the floor while waiting to be used
