For the *price*, this is perfectly fine string. But compared to nicer brands, it kind of sucks. The colors are nice & it gets the job done, but it does occasionally rip so you wind up getting little tuffs in your stitches like these. It's also very course, so it doesn't lay flat or blend in the way brands like DMC do. If you're a beginner or don't plan on ever displaying/selling your work, buy this string. The media could not be loaded. I read that some people were dissatisfied that their floss was polyester and not cotton. Mine says 100% cotton on each skein and it is definitely cotton. It’s not quite DMC quality … it’s more like Anchor … but I needed a questionable color of blue for a counted cross stitch project and this selection gave me a great range of blues to choose from. I found the perfect color in this selection for my project so it was a good purchase for me. It provides great coverage when stitching 2 over 1 on 14 count or 18 count Aida so I’m sure the remaining colors will come in handy in the future. ... show more

I bought this thinking it was DMC, not a dupe. I needed a skein of DMC 351 and the color appears to be the same, but the texture is off. This is a lower quality thread and lacks the sheen and smoothness of DMC, and the difference shows in my project. This thread also snags more easily.
