Very messy application as it will get on your eyelids no matter how carefully you try to apply. However it does what it promises and doesnt leave dark circles under your eyes after a long day of wear.

Every few years I try to find a cheaper mascara that will work for me and every time I come back to this one and wonder why I bothered. As it stands, this is the holy grail at this price point for me. My lashes are long but sparse and very mixed texturally, this wand and formula are the best pairing for me to build thickness where I need it without getting giant clumps, spider lashes, or the dreaded "first layer's already set so now I've glued all my lashes into one mass." Still waiting for them to figure out a waterproof formula but I work construction and unless I've rubbed my eyes I rarely get migration or shedding, and no running even on the stickiest humid days!

The price is what attracted me to it, and it seemed to be in a similar package to Mr Big from Lancolm. It may not be fair to compare it to Lancolm, but I will probably go back to it. It's double the price, but I prefer it.

I know this is going to be a very unpopular review, but I have to be honest: I have a really embarrassing hair pulling disorder called trichotillomania. It is a horrible, horrible disorder for a girl to have....especially in high school and college! I pulled my eyebrows, eyelashes, and some hair on my scalp from ages 8 or 9 up until the present, where I'm now 28. As a result, I now have NO EYEBROWS...they stopped growing at all after so many pulling spells in high school. I don't mean I have sparse eyebrows like most girls who say they have none do....I mean I have NONE. I actually just got permanent cosmetics last year for eyebrows and eyeliner tattoos. In addition to no eyebrows, I had no eyelashes....I mean my eyelids were BALD up until now. While they were bald, I hid it by drowning my eyes in a sea of dark, dark liners and eye shadows. However, I finally started to try resisting my pulling urges once I got my eyebrow and eyeliner tattoos. The eyebrow hair has yet to even THINK of trying to come back, but my eyelashes have! My eyelashes, for the first time in 20 years, are back! Granted, they are not luxurious, beautiful lashes I've always dreamed of having, but compared to having none, and not being able to wear mascara for two decades, it is welcomed!. So, they are back but they are very, very, very thin and spaced far apart. But, since they have returned, I have literally tried every mascara I could get my hands on! You ladies who can rock just one coat of mascara and look normal, I envy you! Anyway, I searched for my 15th or 16th bottle in 6 months....trying every single one I could before my urges to pull possibly resurface. I figured this mascara would do wonders according to the rave reviews....but, it didn't. If any of you who are reading this know this disorder like I do, you know that even the slightest clump, bump, strayed hair, etc. only eat at your pulling desire even more. That is what this mascara does. It is mediocre at best. Not only does it do a poor job separating lashes, but it also leaves a hard, flaky bit at the tips of your lashes. Not only does that look rather ugly, it also makes urges even worse. I still gave this item 3 stars, not because it causes urges....that is NOT the make up's fault....I am fully aware of that....but because it ranks up there with pretty much any mascara you can get at the drug store much cheaper. The best mascara I have used so far is the CoverGirl Volumizing Lash in the orange tube you buy at any ole drug store. Like I said, this won't be a popular review, but in case someone else out there is searching for the same reason I was, I hope this is helpful.

I bought this because I'm desperately looking for a mascara that doesn't collect under my eyes throughout the day. I read a review that said basically this was the only one she found that didn't run. I does flake a little bit once in awhile, but the brush is awful! First off, I hate the shape of it (but based on the review, I thought I'd give it a go) and secondly, when using it, the little bristles come loose and end up in my eye, which is super irritating. Maybe with a better brush, it would be better, but I'm not buying it again.
