Left and right thumb sticks have crazy drift. Practically unusable and trying to figure out how to return. It worked great for two weeks, after that it’s unusable. The directional pad is no help either as any time I hit the up arrow I can’t bring it back down. Be that in a game or on the Home Screen.     • Controller looks and works like new
The controller was delivered just yesterday. So far, so good. My 12 yr old son was ecstatic and has been super happy since it arrived. I did buy the three year protection plan in case of problems or in case my son damages it. Whenever I buy purchase high dollar products from amazon, I try to get a protection plan. But so far I've never had a reason to use any of the plans. The controller arrived on the day promised, and the condition was fantastic. I haven't used it, but my son is very impressed and says all functions are working as described. Even the packaging the controller was housed in was like new. ... show more

First one I bought had a paddle button broken. Which is annoying because that is the point of the product really. I notified amazon and had a new one the next day with a few weeks to return to the broken one. The one I currently use is great. Just an awesome controller overall.     • Well worth it.
My only gripe is that the left stick has a slight rebound problem where if I let go of one direction, it will go back to center and rebound to the opposite direction, turning my character around in certain situations (Dark Souls 2, Celeste, etc). Other than that, the controller is everything it said it would be and considering its refurbished, I'll deal with a slight rebound over any other issues that could've happened instead. ... show more

    • Nice controller, poor component quality.
I purchased this item, received one that was damaged and the left thumbstick didn't work. Amazon was very helpful in the exchange and i was happy to receive a working option. I have now had this one for about 2 months. The left bumper button has completely detached from the controller's interior and flaps like a flag on a windy day. To say this is an inconvenience is an understatement. The controller overall is nice, but i dont think it's worth the cost due to the constant hassle of not working or breaking easily. Sure replacements are fairly easy to find, but when you are a gamer and streamer and you can't play due to a broken controller and have to wait over a week for a replacement part that you have to order from some seedy back alley electronic component website.     • DO NOT PURCHASE! Received defective item.
First, the customer service is mediocre at best. They did respond but did not negotiate. I bought this and it was delivered right on time, so that was good. When I got my controller it looked great, flawless in-fact; however, I didn't buy a controller so it would just look good. The X and Y buttons were sticking, it clicked loud and hard and wouldn't always return, the left side paddles were very loose and if the upper left paddle wasn't falling out, it was often touching the lower paddle. Other than that it was fine. After emailing Goldstar Tech, they told me to drop some rubbing alcohol into the button and hit it until it cleared up. So I did and it helped some, but the issue came back the same day. I did this a few times and it always came back. I also use a straw, by cutting it lengthwise to clean around the button and this made the most significant difference. After a few days, the B button and don't X power button started having the same issue, along with the D-pad, when I hit right, it would quickly cycle all the way left. I emailed again stating that I tried their "fix" and that it worked for a while then stopped and the "new" problems; but it still didn't address the paddle issue. I asked if they can send a new controller along that way I'll still have a controller in the meantime, and that I would have a box to send the controller back in. They ignored that entirely, which I think is fair, if I don't return the old one, then of course they could charge me for a new the second controller. In the end, I don't think a customer should have to go through troubleshooting tips for an item that is claimed to be "renewed" and "tested," if that were true they wouldn't have sent out such a problematic device. That's just a terrible and sloppy way to run a business. I say pay the difference for a new controller, I will send this in as soon as I get paid to purchase another in the meantime. ... show more
