First time purchasing a "refurbished" controller. After approximately 2 hours of use, the controller displayed wireless connectivity issues, then appeared to freeze while powered on, x light illuminated, but zero buttons on the controller worked. Then the controller powered off randomly and wouldn't power back on, as if the battery died; however, the battery percentage was close to 100% prior. I wired the controller to the console with the cable provided with the controller. My console was powered on, but no power to the controller. I waited for the controller to charge to see if it was a battery charging issue, but to no avail. I swapped cables, tested with another console, and even tested my other controllers with my consoles. It was as if the controller just died. I returned the controller and was provided with a replacement and the same thing happened. Both of these refurbished controllers were updated and charged before use. After troubleshooting and performing these tests with 2 of these refurbished controllers, I've concluded that they are deficient and should not be sold since both my consoles work with all my other older controllers with no issues. I've probably been through 8 xbox controllers in my experience and the only issues I've ever had with xbox controllers are joystick drift deficiencies, probably due to the controller being dirty inside. So I typically just buy a new controller instead of taking the controller apart to clean and trouble shoot. Never had any other issues other than that. I hope this helps others with their purchasing decisions.

I have two new ones that are completely awesome controllers! I did try to purchase a reconditioned controller andI had to return the product which was pretty easy. Overall it's a 50/50 when you buy something anything that's reconditioned, but luckily most vendors give warranties of some sort, so a return is usually easy. I would say even more 35/65 when you buy an item of this nature refurbished or reconditioned where the 65 is not working well and DOA.

After reading some of the past reviews I was very hesitant to purchase a"renewed" product. I decided to give it a shot as I could return if it was not to my liking. Well needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. The controller was described as excellent condition but what I received was pretty much brand new! Like someone maybe used it once and returned it. It still smells like its brand new. Not sure if I just got lucky or what but im very happy with this purchase and I would definitely buy from this seller again. Iv been using the controller for about 3 weeks now and not a single issue, all buttons and sticks work like new and the battery life is crazy long. Came with all accessories and charging cord.

I love the weight of the controller in your hand. The options you have to customize it are also great. It is a great product--IF NEW. Save your time and just bite the bullet and wait to have enough to buy a new one or from another supplier. I had 2 controllers from this seller and both had issues. I know these are refurbished and it says in description like new. I understand there maybe some wear on the item and 3rd party accessories (like charger cord) however when you say they are tested I would expect there to be no issues with the controllers. Both controllers had issues though both were different. The first one had an issue with the 4 way controller in that it would drift up after being pressed down and stick. That one was rather clean and had the original charger cord, however I sent it back (MISTAKE) the replacement for that was worse!! It wasn't as clean, the charger cord was 3rd party but it was MUCH shorter--if you are going to use a 3rd party item at least make it the close to the same as you can. This controller itself the flip paddles on the back the give on the top placement for short flippers was way off and couldn't be used. If I placed larger flippers it worked fine but then I couldn't use the bottom ones --so in a sense I lost 2 of the 4 extra control features. I contacted the seller and the 1st exchange went well--the 2nd they never responded so I just am sending it back for a refund and will save the extra 100 to get a new custom one.

I have not bought a single Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller that has not experienced stick drift within a month of using it. While the extra buttons are nice on the bottom of the controller, they stop working. Both my LB and RB buttons have stopped working properly. I have to crush them with my fingers to get them to work and then even when I have them held down they just randomly release. I feel like Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves and issue an apology for these controllers. You will absolutely have to replace it within a couple months or just deal with the stick drift. Another controller that the only satisfaction you will have will be smashing it when it stops working.

The controller is overall good but mines rb and lb are wonky and after not much use the sticks started to get clunky and clicks on the inside
