This Bread making machine works to perfection. The bread has the right texture, thickness, and taste, which one can program it to be. It comes out as dark as Romanian bread, or caramel colored as English bread, yes you can even set the color to be as white as wash out looking as American bread. It is all under your control. This next point cannot be removed from the review because it sets up everything and tells you this is a well designed bread machine. Allow me this brief moment to present you with what enthralled me at the very beginning, which told me this product was going to work magnificently and be well designed to do so: At first upon seeing the packaging -that was as almost always- dented and bruised. I had great fear that the product would be destroyed, but upon open it I found that the packaging was an engineering masterpiece of great beauty! To badly miss quote and Paraphrase Billy Shakespeare of whom’s work I was exposed to when I was but a child at school: “What a piece of work is this Packaging ? An engineering masterpiece of geometric beauty. How Noble in design, in form and Utility.” I was amazed upon opening the box, for everything was in its place. Everything was protected by Styrofoam, Protective wrapping, and cardboard, cut in such a way that even the end of the plug had its own little slot, so as to not slide around inside of the packaging scratch up the product. All was magnificently perfect, for there was not a scratch nor a dent to be seen. Even the accessories were nestled inside of a plastic bubble placed inside of a pyramid shape cardboard cut out which was laid into the center of the bread bowl with protections underneath and on top of perfectly cut out cardboard so that nothing moved and nothing scratched up nothing. I have never used the word nothing so many times in my life that came out with joy, the packaging is Beautiful. Back to the product, I must echo every single thing that all of the 5 star reviewers have said, and yes I have read them. This is a perfect bread, making machine! But have I mentioned the packaging? I’m thinking about mountain it on top of a pedestal in my living room so that guest, family, and friends can come and marvel at this marvel . . . Great bread maker. It's quiet, doesn't "roam" around the counter like some have in the past. The suction cups on the bottom of the legs are a nice touch. It's easy to set as well. Recipe book is pretty thorough and comes with a good amount of bread options. We did have to adjust the flour in some recipes. The dough was too wet. So, we just added about 1/4 cup of extra flour to the recipe and the dough comes together beautifully. One slight down is I wish the screen had a backlight. Overall love this! ... show more

Okay exactly as described. Unit ships in manufacturer's box showing contents in the box. Don't let Amazon hide contents because Amazon's packaging is very poor compared to manufacturer's shipping... so at checkout do not click the box which says "hide packaging content" or something similar to that. This machine arrived in good condition and works exactly as described. Baked my first loaf with it and it turned out way better than my expectations. Bread is supposed to taste this way. Fresh and oh the aroma all over the house is amazing. Read that manual through and through. Follow the recipes as shown and you won't run into any issues with the outcome. Before use, do exactly what the manual says to prep this amazing bread machine. Yes, I ate the entire crunchy and tasty whole wheat loaf I made today. First time bread baking for me and the result was simply amazing. Bread was fluffy soft on the inside hard crust on the outside and oh... this is what bread was meant to be. Nice machine, love I can make a 1 lb loaf. Doesn’t make a whole lot of noise. Suction cups on the bottom are a great idea. Though I still won’t set it close to the edge of the counter. Added a Tbsp of dry milk to the recipe, my other bread machines recipe called for it. And it worked good with this recipe too. Will set on light crust next time. Medium made bottom crust kind of tough. Cleans easily. Don’t forget to take the kneading blade out after bread is done, like I did, kind of freaked my sis out when she was cutting the loaf. This product works very well and as advertised. It starts quickly, and every loaf of bread has come out perfect. I like the crust control which actually results in a nice crust like you would find from a commercial bakery. This machine is also a good value compared to other, more expensive models.

We wanted a bread machine for our summer cottage. We are outside a small town, and the options for a decent loaf of bread are scant. Of particular concern to me was the amount of sugar and strange ingredients that go into the sliced bread sold in supermarkets. Normally we buy middle to upper tier appliances, but I was hesitant to spend two to three hundred dollars for a name brand bread machine that we would use for 6 weeks out of the year. I decided to go for the cheapest one available, thinking how bad could it be? So far, it has exceeded our expectations. Mind you, we did not buy it for anything other than making our daily bread, so we haven't tried making yogurt, or bread with nuts and fruit, or cake and what not. But in terms of making a regular loaf of bread, it does the job perfectly well. We follow the recipes in the guide, which do call for a small amount of sugar. Apparently this is necessary to accelerate the yeast action, but it is a fraction of what is put in commercial bread. We get bread that we can eat "as is." We've had this for only a couple weeks, so I can't say anything about its durability. It is an uncomplicated device and seems solid enough. I'll update this review after we have more experience with the machine and perhaps try out some of the other functions. ... show more
