The energy it saves is, MY ENERGY. It is a dream. The time and hard work to make homemade bread has ended if you buy this beautiful appliance. I have been wanting to buy one for over a year. I didn't know anything about what to look for or what was good. I know my mother had one she paid a lot of money for. But, that was years ago. So, I started reading reviews and looking at Y-tube videos about bread makers and what they offer. The low price concerned me but, the reviews and particularly the videos about THIS bread maker, made me decide to buy it and give it a try. I was so excited to get it. I read the directions first. THAT'S A MUST. You have to do a burn cycle before use and wash it well, to get rid of chemicals smell on the components. Follow the directions especially, how to add the ingredients. If you do, it will turn out PERFECT. My first loaf was beautiful and was just heavenly to taste homemade bread that used to take hours to make. I put everything in as instructed, closed the lid, set the program and pushed the button. About 3 hours later for a 2 lb. loaf, it was done and perfect. I immediately made another loaf after we tasted the bread with butter on it. Don't be afraid to buy this guy because, it does more than I'll ever use it for. It has so many options on it. It gives recipes in the book. We had the bread for breakfast and it made delicious toast. I just love the ease of making homemade bread with this machine. And, the yeast smell is intoxicating. Bread is getting so expensive I just cannot afford to buy it. And now my doctors want me to go gluten free - GF bread is going for over $6.00 for a tiny little tasteless loaf. No thank you and if you just want an organic bread or one with lots of good grains you are talking almost $7.00 or more dollars. Crazy.... This machine makes delicious bread easily. So far I have just made the milk bread (its easy and has few ingredients so I can use up what flours I have on hand). It has come out so delicious each time. The best part is that it only costs about a buck a loaf, has no bad ingredients like bromides and artificial flavors, and makes my whole house smell great. I really really like this machine. It's not too big and bulky either like the old bread machines. It's easy to use and I love that you can program it for different size loaves, gluten free or regular bread, and I guess you can also make yogurt in it which is cool too. As I said I have only made the simple easy milk bread but will be experimenting more in the coming months. It cleans up easily and nicely too. I have no complaints at all at this point. ... show more

This is a competent bread machine. So far I have used it to make sourdough bread with my sourdough starter, using the French bread recipe and it does great. Since I had not had a new bread machine in over 20 years, I wanted to make sure I read the directions first. I was tempted to use it straight out of the box, but I am so glad that I didn't. In the first few pages of the instructions, I found out that before using the machine, you have to plug it in and let the machine do a 10 minute burn cycle where it burns off the manufacturing oils. If I hadn't done that, my first loaf and a few others would have tasted like chemicals. After that, I used a fair amount of dishwashing liquid in the bread bucket, and thoroughly rinsed it off and dried it. My loaves have tasted great. Absolutely NO chemical taste. So if you're like me and you haven't had a machine in decades, PLEASE read the instructions first. You will be happy with what turns out. True, it is not like my old Maxim, but it is a completely different machine with a lot more functions. I also appreciate having a bread machine that is light, and a lot more portable. My old Maxim was really heavy and hard to take out of the cupboard. I can lift this light machine, and put it anywhere in my kitchen easily. ... show more

I have used this bread machine several times and the bread comes out fantastic. I have used two different recipes and they both came out great and the best part is that my kitchen smells great as the bread is baking. The settings are easy to use and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. It is an easy clean up. I have used wheat flour, white flour and both recipes came out great. The recipes were nothing fancy but the texture of the bread and the color were great! As always, read your instruction manual before using and get to know your settings as well. ... show more

I live rural and ever since covid we have been having periodic shortages at the store and the bread isle is an area where prices and supply have just been horrible. We got this so we could make a loaf of bread as needed and we like it so much we just don't buy bread anymore. It comes with recommended recipes. I have modified them slightly and it still works great. This gets heavy use in our house and is holding up great so far. It is well made for the price. Every now and then it can be a bit noisy. It loudly beeps between cycle changes. Some of the other reviews I saw complained about the bread not turning out. I have had zero issues. You must add ingredients in the specified order. I cannot compare this to other breadmakers as this is the only one I have ever owned but I love it. The fresh bread is money-saving and the house smells amazing when it is baking. It is not the prettiest model but I don't leave it on the counter. It is only out when in use and then gets tucked away into the pantry. It is lightweight enough that it is easy for me to do this. ... show more
