Heat isn’t the most even, and it will get dirty quickly. But seriously it is a $50 hot dog roller. Does hebrew nash, does teton polish. Excellent dog quality. Frankly would do without the timer, but you should probably watch something cooking in your house. Would absolutely buy again.

Put on two bun length Nathan's franks and two standard hot dog buns. 15 minutes later had perfect hot dogs. Yummy. Very easy clean up too! The compact size of unit was a big selling point. After grilling a couple of hot dogs on this roller/oven, I was pretty unhappy with it, and was considering returning it. On both occasions the franks came out a little burnt on the outside while somewhat hard, dry, and seemingly a bit under-cooked on the inside. HOWEVER, I then thought to try first boiling them in water for about 10 mins, then putting them on the rollers. Wow, what a difference did it make! Boiling made them swell up and turn plump and juicy , while 10 mins on the rollers afterwards gave them that great grilled flavor! The combination of these 2 cooking processes, IMO, is unbeatable! Folks, I strongly suggest you at least give it a try! :) Oh, and the unit needs to be PRE-HEATED for around 5 minutes before it is hot enough to grill hot dogs. So this hot dog machine is flimsy. The first one came broken so I sent it back and received another one. I read a lot of reviews about this rollin dog machine. One stood out a lady said don’t man handle. Leave the lid up while in use and basically step by step instructions. Plus her do’s and dont’s. I payed attention. I Love this machine. My favorite dog is with smoked sausage links. And 4 buns fit perfectly on the bottom tray. And it does need to be cleaned while still warm while the rollers are still rolling. So much easier. When you buy cheap, you get cheap. My hotdog roller arrived with the same issues that many others have reported. The bun warmer door had popped out of its hinge points, and the drip-tray was slightly too small, so that it wouldn't stay on the bent metal tabs that are supposed to hold it in place. This appliance is cheaply made. I managed to get the door back into place and then flattened out the flanges on the drip pan so that it now stays in place. I bought this product solely for taking on ice fishing trips and to leave at the cabin. I got it and couldn't even wait for the first trip and used it right away. I will say that i was impressed way more than i thought i would. i threw on some pre cooked Johnsonville cheddar brats, and this thing cooked them up very even and quick. Not to mention the bun toaster worked perfect for buns. The guys on the ice fishing trip laughed at me for bringing this, but after the trip were talking about getting one. As a single man that lives alone, I love this roller grill so far. I can throw on a couple brats or dogs have a great meal in about 15 minutes give or take. The buns come out perfectly warm! I buy those little single serve canned microwave chili bowls for topping out the mic in 1 minute. PRO TIP: If struggling to clean off build up; throw on some ice cubes in the trouble spots. They will steam the grill and the residue wipes right off with a clean paper towel. Sometimes you might have "scrub" the spot with the ice. Leave it on for while to kill any bacteria.
