About 10 min to assemble and about 2 hours to install. Needed to grind down a bracket because my track isn’t as wide as some. I installed a latch to secure it to the sliding glass door. The sliding glass door needed adjusted to help it seal well; still not 100%, but good enough. The insert that goes in the middle that also helps adjust for height is really clever. The only problems I encountered were related to my sliding door. Would like to have seen a sturdier locking latch for the flap or a plate to cover it. Quite a good doggie door for a universal fit.

The media could not be loaded. Actual door is metal with glass. Instructions were not clear as to how to adjust height of door to frame. Hint: the top of the actual door is spring adjustable. We took off the silver metal removal pieces on each side (top). Then top of door can be adjusted. Hopefully that makes sense. Screws that come with door were great because they are made to go through metal. so the anchor mounts that came with door were easy to install. No need to pre-drill any holes. just use electric screw driver (personally own that) and screws make there own hole in metal door jams. We feel you do need the anchor mounts so door doesn’t wiggle when dogs go through. Actual door that the dogs go throw is made of a hard durable plastic…. In the past all of our doggie doors were size size and made with a thick soft pliable plastic. Also those were able to be replaced when needed. This door we bought in size large. So not sure if all large size dog doors are made with HARD plastic doors? if so, maybe it’s for durability? Anyway, my point is we have 4 small/med breed dogs and they are having some trouble only because sometimes the door hits them in the face and either scares or hurts there nose…. I’m sure large dogs won’t have this issue as much? My son has the large dog but lives out of town. So can’t comment on the large dog yet…. so will revise once we get his large dog here to test. That was the reason we bought the large size in first place. To accommodate his large dog when he visits. I will include some videos and pics. My daughter got a good video of our actual dogs going through door before getting hit in face. Now they are a little more cautious going through the door. Notice in video how the door is a hard door. The door we got on sale I think $150 plus a discount coupon for $10 off, free shipping with prime membership. We thought is a good price for the quality. the center area of door where you can add an insert doesn’t seem to completely seal. so we added black electrical tape to complete the seal. I will add pictures or a video to describe all this.

This is something I've been looking for for a long time. I', glad I took the time to look for all the options. This is very sturdy. Super easy to use and install. I love it. My dogs are still learning to use it but they are not afraid of it.

The quality of the door is so so. There is some assembly required that took about 10 minutes. Installing the door was pretty straight forward. The tempered glass panels are nice and the aluminum frame is nice and sturdy. It did include two different size options when assembling and parts for both. I do have a few complaints. 1. The foam insulation strip is not very wide or deep. I had to purchase some additional foam weather stripping to finish the install and prevent air gaps. 2. Air leaks around the edges of the dog door. The fuzzy weather stripping on the outer edges don't reach the sides of the opening. 3. To lock the dog door there are 5 small plastic slide latches that have to be slid over each time you want to secure it. There are two on each side and one on the bottom. I tried just using the bottom latch but my shih-tzu was able to push the door past the latch and open it anyway. 4. The dog door is solid plastic and not flexible so really small dogs may have an issue with it. I had tried some other dog door inserts for my sliding door that had better dog doors but a flimsy frame and only had slide in plastic panels to block the screens. I would have probably returned this but I had already finished installing it and didn't want to have to try and find another one for the third time. It was still a pretty good price for what I received. I'm glad I got it on sale.

The doggy door is pretty good. It seems like it'll last awhile, it's sturdy. They're wasn't enough weather stripping though. And the directions were very minimal and unclear, but I just did what I thought was best and so far so good.

This dog door is great as it comes with a lot of different options for adjustments. It was pretty easy to install for one person. I really like that. It comes with the weatherstripping as well. The dog door opens either direction and has a magnet on it to keep it sealed. Really great for colder places like here in Colorado. So far, it has been relatively easy for my dogs to get used to and use. Excellent for any sliding glass door.
