I saw a lot of people complaining about the zipper and the drawstrings for the hood. The company must have took those concerns because the zipper quality and the drawstring quality is excellent. I would order one size bigger than what you normally would order. A slightly bigger jacket is not necessarily A Bad Thing. The hand pockets are set back slightly but they are not as shallow as some of the comments said. I got a pretty decent size phone and it fits in the pocket no problem. The inside liner is comfortable and the outside plaid quality is really good. I highly recommend this jacket for chilly to slightly cold weather. I haven't had the problems reported by some of holes in the pockets, zipper tab on the wrong side, too small or too large for the size, too thin. I will note, as others have, that the pockets are set back too far. By a good 2 or 3 inches. Getting the hands in the pockets is a little awkward, but once in they're not bad. The "sherpa" lining sheds pretty bad until after a couple washings and the sherpa lined sleeves make it a little hard to get your arms through if you're wearing, say, a flannel shirt. Quilted lined sleeves would be better. This jacket is warmer than a conventional hoodie sweatshirt by a good bit. ... show more

I struggle hard these days in figuring out what is worth while on Amazon, so I am trying to make more of an effort to write reviews myself of the things I get. I once had a hoodie like this over a decade ago, but instead of the flanal look it was a solid color. I would see the assorted flanal hoodies and regret I hadn 't gotten one, so many years later far after that hoodie had fallen apart, It was time I got a new one, and thought its time to get a flanal one... only to find no one was selling them anymore, except for amazon! It is very soft, the fluff inside it does feel a little thin, but is very warm. Its lighter weight than some of the older hoodies of this style I had run into before, which is actually a boon. Warm, soft and light is perfect. Fit: It is for sure on the larger side of XL, but as someone who put on a bit of weight that is perfect for me, and once I loose that weight still will fit well, As to some negitives people have said about the sleeves is true, they are an inch or two shorter than they could stand to be. so they can pull back leaving your wrists a little uncovered and get chilly when sitting or streching out, but its hardly the worst instance of this I've encountered. Its perfectly fine. My biggest issue is the pockets on the front. I am so used to those front pockets on hoodies to be nice and deep so you can comfortably keep a phone or other stuff in there and not easily be seen in there, or have some good room to stuff your hands in deep. The jacket is excellent! It is well made and is true to size. It is well priced. One thing to note is that shipping time is a little slow. I included the jacket in an overnight shipment but this one item took 7 to 8 days to receive. It was well worth the wait. My son normally wears Large sweatshirts/jackets for room. The arms were great in length but he could barely get the jacket to zip it was so tight on his body. If you wead these not wanting to zip them, its made well and looks nice. But my son likes the option to zip it and with the arms already being long, I feel an XL would be too big in the arms and may still not fit in the body. Had to return, bummer.
