I purchased a new bed since my old mattress was a pillow top and approximately 12 years old. I was waking up incessantly with back pain so I decided to get a firmer mattress and I severely over corrected! My new mattress is a firm Tempur-Pedic type and felt great at the store but after two nights at home it felt like I was sleeping on the floor! I went through a couple mattress pads that I stacked together and that did not work to make the mattress more bearable. I ran across this one and it is a game changer. It is thick, comfortable and provides that pillow top feeling with just the right amount of firmness now with my mattress. It does show the little squares under your sheets, however, if you make your bed is not noticeable. For me it does not sleep hot and makes no noise when you move on it. The mattress pad stays in place too and does not shift while sleeping. I have an adjustable base and it has not affected the topper at all. I'm so glad I went with the reviews and purchased this one because I was ready to throw the new mattress on the curb! The pad has no smell either. As for washability, you better have a large drum washing machine because this thing is thick! I fluffed it out of my bed first like it said and then tossed in my dryer. I do have a large dryer and washing machine but when this was put in my dryer it took up the entire thing. When it is time to wash it, I will take it to the dry cleaner. This is a great mattress pad and I 100% recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Comfortable. Wouldn’t say it “transforms” my mattress, but it made my too-firm mattress finally tolerable to sleep on. As a 200lb person, I certainly sink “into” the pillow topper. But man I do love running my hands & feet over it while lying down. Its soft for sure! I will also affirm that you can indeed see the “pillow pattern” through your sheets, luckily that doesn’t bother me. There was no smell notable when taking it out of the package and its not crinkly sounding or anything weird like that. The pad itself has a nice, large cover and doesnt seem to slip too much. (I ended up adding a memory foam topper beneath this pillow top to take my bed from just being a good sleep to being somewhere I want to relax & have a lie in. My mattress was just THAT firm. This cover fits well over both mattress & the memory foam.) If you’re looking for a mattress protector thats actually comfortable, this one’s a good bet.

I’m absolutely thrilled with this mattress pad! After reading the instructions, I tossed it in the dryer to fluff it up before use, and I’m so glad I did. It came out incredibly fluffy and ready to go right away. The fit is perfect - it stays securely on my queen mattress without any shifting or bunching throughout the night. I was impressed to find that it actually does measure the full 3 inches thick as advertised, which isn’t always the case with bedding products. What really won me over was how comfortable it was from the very first night. The plushness is just right - not too soft, but still very soft I. The right way- if that makes sense. I also appreciated that there was absolutely no chemical smell or off-putting odor when I opened the package, which has been an issue with other mattress pads I’ve tried. If you’re looking for a mattress pad that actually delivers on its promises - proper thickness, stays in place, and provides exceptional comfort - this is it. This is the second time I’ve ordered this mattress topper, and I’m just as happy with it as the first. It’s very comfortable, soft, and plush without being too warm... I sleep cool, which is a big plus. For the value, it’s excellent. Once you open it and let it fully regain its volume, it becomes really nice and floofy and feels much more expensive than it is. There was no odd smell at all: completely neutral right out of the package, which I appreciated. Sizing and fit are perfect. It fits my queen bed exactly and stays in place without shifting. For me personally, it’s a great combination of comfort, quality, and price, and I’d absolutely buy it again (clearly, I already have!).

Received this in the mail and compared it to the one I was trying to replace (just bought the other one as well and wanted something thicker) and they were just about identical. Really couldn't tell the difference. The one I was trying to replace was about 20 dollars cheaper. It's alright in thickness, but it needs to be fliffled every week or a few days because it will settle after sleeping on it. I'm mids.
