I have always has trouble finding good quality electrical cord connectors. I could find good quality in the box stores but at a high price (Hubble) or low quality at Harbour Freight. I was pleased to find that the ELEGRP 15 Amp 125 Volt NEMA 5-15R was high quality at a low price. I have also purchased 30 amp connectors from ELEGRP and found the same.

You would not think there was much difference between connectors like this, but there is. I had just used a different brand and it was a pain, working with the common stranded wire found in most cords and trying to form it into hooks and secure under a screw was tedious. This one surprised me. Give the stranded wires a good twist to tighten them up and insert them into the appropriate , clearly labeled ports and tighten down the screw that will firmly capture the wire. No hooks, no escaping strands of wire that pose shorting risks. The bare copper is fully contained and protected. My only issue, operator error, was making the single strands too long, and it did not allow the strain relief to fully capture the cable. I shortened the wires a bit, took another run at it and perfect, professional and finished look. Much easier to install than the screw and hook method connectors. The screws will accept both flat and Philips driver, but you want a good grip use a #1 Robertson drive (square). Very happy with this item, well-thought-out and my new go to for future needs

I stripped a screw out -- just trying to take it apart! Every screw -- every plug -- was torqued tight as all get out! Too tight like it was a joke... What was more a joke when I looked at some of the other screws -- they are the weirdest Phillips head screws I've ever seen on the strain reliefs The plastic seemed too "flexible" -- I presumed it would get brittle and crack within a year -- if kept. Think spray can/paint caps but they are a little thicker. I had Southwire 12-awg copper stranded power cord bulk wire I was trying to put in these -- the cord was too big for this. These ELEGRP plugs and connectors looked similar to ones I had gotten from Lowes that accepted *10-awg* Southwire cord -- but the ELEGRP plugs and connectors were far from those in my hands -- LOL they may be good for 14-awg and smaller?

Unlike much other junk around (I'm returning examples to Amazon right now), this is impeccable. You can't go wrong, and the connections are completely shrouded for safety. Color coded (silver = white = neutral; brass = black = live), and the cord clamp is very solid.
