I bought this printer as an upgrade to my older Saturn 2 printer and it works quite well. I print mainly miniatures and the resolution is fantastic. I haven't had a failed print yet. The best feature for me is the wireless send to printer and saves a lot of time and effort using a usb stick. One problem to mention is that when using a Lychee slicer, my prints get mirrored and comes out backwards in the X axis. Now a big deal as the slicer has a function to mirror the file, you just need to remember to do this before printing. I believe that Lychee is working to fix this problem. ... show more

This thing prints easily right out of the box. Elegoo customer service is top of the line so rest assured if there are any issues they will help you. The Wi-Fi is pretty good at the moment I was able to send files with their slicer and chitubox with only one file having an issue on 6 prints so far. The build plate is nice and so is the fep film. This is the first printer I'm not going to get a flex plate for. Can't recommend this enough for anyone wanting to print bigger high quality prints! ... show more

I recently crushed my Mars 3 printer. Went to this as an upgrade. I have had zero failed prints so far (yes, I know they will happen eventually). This printer is amazing. I do suggest getting a short USB extension cable as the USB port is located on the side of the machine, which can make it awkward to reach depending on your setup. Unboxing and set up went very easily, leveling is the same as on any other Elegoo machine. I like that they have the leveling instructions on a card that you're supposed to use for the leveling process. Overall, I am VERY happy with this purchase. (I had thought that it came with a year subscription to Chitubox, but it does not). ... show more

I am very glad I got this printer. The first prints, the chess pieces were perfect. There are issues now and again when I have to reprint and that can be very annoying so it loses a star for that. When it does print well, it's great. Wish there was a sensor to let you know the plate needs to be realigned 'cause that causes most of the failed prints. ... show more

This is my 2nd resin printer, and I never thought this level of detail would be possible. You must do your research and be patient. If you rush to the first thing you’re excited about, it will likely fail. Take the time to get this dialed in, and you will have the most beautiful prints in the world! Originally I got a Saturn, and it was broken. Idk if it was a normal Saturn or a Saturn 8k but that doesn't matter. (still need to return it.) But I ordered a Saturn 12k from elegoo's website and god damn was it a good investment. Prints so fast it puts my anycubic to utter shame and with astounding detail. It is kinda tall though, makes me have to unzip the top of my enclosure to get the lid off. ... show more

A review is only as good as the reviewer. I teach robotics, and I've purchased over $1 million dollars of items over the last 20 years. I think I've made five or fewer reviews. Keep all of that mind, now here's your review. If this printer was the only thing that could stop an asteroid the size of Australia from hitting the Earth, I'd say starting singing Danny Boy, because it's all over. The abuse of the machine on the user is relentless. Customer support is nonexistent. They closed the ticket before they decided to even help me. I don't think anybody in the company speaks English. They were/are still advertising Mother's Day on their website (as big as the screen itself) and that was what, two weeks ago? This is a tech company that can't even run their website? Seriously? No matter what you do you can't decipher how to update the firmware because they put it in their computer language -- sorry, I can't even describe the problems adequately because the problems are so deep and pervasive. I've run many 3D printers in my life and this one is so complex and convoluted I can not encourage you enough to look elsewhere. You should see what you have to do with the software ... they also expect you to get a subscription rather than their base model which didn't even work for a second. Run. Run fast and far away from this printer. When you get to your destination take off your shoes and burn them. ... show more
