  • Solid performance
Color: 2pcs Black
Good quality PLA, after a quick calibration this prints just fine, two spools for the price is what I would normally pay for one spool at a local retailer. If you have any issues with clogging or bad performance during the print definitely rum a calibration because this stuff works just fine.

  • Good color and creates nice prints.
Color: Purple
The filament works well but the spool it came on wouldn't fit on the spool holder. The spool center was just a big hole no support for a holder. Had to rig a kludge to use spool.

Here's a refined review of the ELEGOO PLA Filament: --- **Product Review: ELEGOO PLA Filament 1.75mm 1KG** **Price:** $10 - $25 **Brand:** ELEGOO **Material:** Polylactic Acid (PLA) **Item Weight:** 1 Kilogram (2.2 lbs) **Item Diameter:** 1.75 Millimeters ### **Product Features:** - **High-Quality PLA Filaments:** Made from premium PLA, featuring a lower melting temperature, low warp, and shrinkage. The filament is odorless during printing, providing a pleasant user experience. - **Top-Notch Accuracy & Consistency:** Advanced measurement procedures ensure the filament maintains a consistent diameter of 1.75mm with an accuracy of +/- 0.02 mm, which guarantees smooth and reliable feeding during printing. - **Less-tangle & Easy to Use:** Each spool is neatly wound to prevent tangles and feeding issues. Strong layer adhesion helps achieve excellent 3D printing results, making it ideal for beginners. - **No Clogging & No Bubbles:** The filament is thoroughly dried before packaging and vacuum-sealed to protect it from moisture, preventing clogging and bubbling issues. - **Wide Compatibility:** Compatible with most common 1.75mm FDM 3D printers, including Neptune series, P1P, P1S, Ender series, Kobra series, and more. ### **Pros:** - Consistently high-quality filament that performs well right out of the package. - Excellent winding and sealing of spools, ensuring neatness and ease of use. - Reliable adhesion to various build plates. - Minimal stringing, even at higher print speeds. ### **Cons:** - Performance may vary slightly depending on print speed and temperature settings. ### **My Take:** ELEGOO PLA Filament has consistently impressed me with its quality and performance. Every spool I've tried has been dry and ready to use straight out of the package, thanks to their excellent pre-packaging drying process. The spools are neatly wound, which prevents tangles and ensures smooth feeding during prints. I've yet to encounter any clogs or messy wraps, making it a reliable choice for any project. The colors are vibrant and true to what is advertised, enhancing the visual appeal of printed objects. I've found that the filament performs best at a nozzle temperature of around 210°C and a bed temperature of 60°C. It adheres well to various build plates, and I've had no issues with prints lifting or warping. In terms of print speed, the filament handles speeds up to 180 mm/s without significant stringing. Pushing it to 250 mm/s does introduce some stringing, but this is expected with most filaments at higher speeds. Overall, ELEGOO PLA is an excellent choice for beginners and experienced users alike. It offers consistent performance, making it a reliable option that works 99% of the time. I highly recommend giving it a try before exploring less-known brands. ... show more

  • Highlighter Yellow.. that's what I'm calling this color.. *chuckling*
Color: Yellow
Elegoo filament has quickly become a staple within my print farm. Relatively inexpensive, and with a wide variety of colors, I place it squarely in the same realm as SUNLU filament. (Basically, I have a few tiers: Tier 1 - is cheap, inexpensive stuff.. one offs... stuff that I can't find much of, and stuff I don't necessarily trust. Tier 2 - is something like Creality, which is consistent, but lacking in variety. If a manufacturer claims only +-.03mm, they usually stay in this level, too. Tier 3 - is usually manufacturers that are reliable, and have been around for awhile. They also have wider selections of color and materials. Your Sunlus, and Elegoo usually fall into here. Also, your offshoot brands of well known other brands, also tend to land here. Example: Duramic, is apparently an offshoot brand of Polymaker.. so they stay in this space. This is the area I normally work from, when I want a piece that's good for structural items, and can be worked accordingly. Reliability is the name of the game, here. Tier 4 - are the higher end brands, that work consistently, and flawlessly. Ones that have a good customer service reputation. Prusa, Polymaker, Atomic.. these are some of the brands that fall into this category. They're usually more expensive, and harder to come by.. but their selection, colors and material lists are VERY wide.. this is the group I PREFER to operate within.. but these filaments are cost prohibitive compared to the other tiers.. I usually operate in Tiers 2&3.. and tier 3 is where I'd place this filament. It's fairly inexpensive, and prints well. One thing that Elegoo seems to be doing right, is their 'pigtails' on the spools are cut off flush with the spool itself.. so when their filament reaches the end of the spool, it's less likely to get caught in the spool. IT DOES still have a 90 degree angle on it, however.. so the possibility of the filament not passing through a PTFE tube is still a possible concern. If I had one complaint, it'd be the fact that the spool doesn't indicate print speeds on it, but it does indicate regular temps it's recommended to be printed at. Still. that's a minor complaint... and I have no issues recommending Elegoo's filaments to anyone looking for a filament that prints well, has a decent selection of colors and materials, remains consistent.. and is STILL relatively inexpensive. ... show more
