This electronic drum set offers a variety of sounds, making it fun and entertaining for an older child interested in learning about percussion and the sounds of a drum set. On a positive note, there are many sounds and options to play, including demo options, and it includes small drumsticks. Concerns include the volume of the instrument. While headphones work best, the built-in speakers are set to an obnoxiously loud volume level, with no middle ground. There are supposedly nine levels, but even "1" is way too loud. There is also an audible beep when changing functions, which is also too noisy. I would give this a mixed review, based on my initial test.

We gave this Electronic Drum Set as a gift to our 10-year-old son, and it has been incredible! The 9 roll-up pads are very responsive, and with the included foot pedals and drumsticks, he feels like he’s playing a real kit. The headphone jack is great for quiet practice, and the MIDI support adds extra fun. Portable, lightweight, and easy to use—he absolutely loves it!

As a toy for a young kid, this is ok if you want to annoy literally everyone. It has 2 sound modes, mute or everyone in the house can hear this. I was really surprised that the lowest volume it has is immediately blasting everywhere. Luckily there is a headphone jack for these. The speakers themselves sound ok, a bit hollow but it's what I would expect at this price point. The foot pedals are functionally useless. They don't stay put and don't always activate when pressed. With that, quite a few of the drum pads either won't activate every time or will do a double activate. Makes it a bit hard to get a solid beat going. It does have quite a few modes. You can record, play over pre set tracks, and change how the drums sound. Quality wise, it's made out of a soft rollable soft plastic material. It'll be fine for awhile but I can definitely see this falling apart aftersome beatings. I think this is an ok value for a really young kid, but even my 7 year old has already lost interest with how frustrating having miss hits or double hits are. The volume is too much for him as well.

First of all, this is definitely a kids toy. If you’re an indie musician thinking you’re going to get some cool cheesy drum sounds to put over your lofi Harmony acoustic guitar, this isn’t it. This is just cheesy, not cool. That being said, for a toy, this is alright. It comes with small scale drumsticks for those little hands (Hey Donald, maybe you could have some fun with this!) It makes different drum sounds. It’s clearly laid out. It’s easy to set up. It’s easy to start making noise right out of the box. Now for my few complaints…the speakers are horrible. Instant distortion. Headphones are fine though. Second is that the menu options aren’t very intuitive. I had to break out the instruction manual. And third, the pad isn’t the most sensitive, accurate, or responsive. It’s about as good as I expected though coming from a kids toy. And lastly, it comes with a charging cord, but no charging block. I was a little annoyed at first, but the battery seems to last a good long time once charged, so not the end of the world. And lastly, I didn’t test out it’s supposed midi capabilities, so if you’re buying this for that, I don’t know what to say…
