This yarn baller is HORRIBLE. I got it fully set up, turned it on, and it works for maybe a few seconds and stops. If it feels even the slightest, tiniest hint of tension, the motor turns off. Even without tension, the yarn baller turned off after a few seconds for no reason whatsoever. There are stronger motors in children's toys. This also doesn't ball the yarn evenly and I have to re-ball it anyway. All in all, do not bother with this, it's a complete waste of your money. ... show more

I can’t wait to roll yarns up with this yarn winder! I knew how to do it with my hands, but due to pains in my back that I could not do all of yarns (I did some). It’s a Christmas present that I picked it out that will be from my family member! :) I think it’s automatically stopped when yarn would be stuck. I think we need more attention on what yarn winder is doing because it frequently automatically stops when yarn will be stuck easily. That’s why my family member is trying to teach me to not too tight yarn up that yarn winder will not continue if I did it wrong. I am not mad, but please attention before return them…😥 be gentle with it👍 ... show more

As an owner of lots of yarn, this was such a great pie. It was really easy to use functions great great value for the money. Goes quite quickly and is really easy to put together. I was able to spin balls of yarn rather quickly and helps me keep my yarn organized.

I bought this winder to replace one just like it that I bought 40 years ago. It still works great, but I loaned it to my daughter-in-law. She uses it more than I do, so I decided to let her keep it. When I saw this one which cost less than what I paid 40 years ago, it seemed like a good idea to just get it for myself. It works great and it's a slight upgrade from my old one by the fact that the clamp opens up much wider than my other winder so that I can hook it onto thicker tables. An issue with my old one was that I had to find a fairly thin thickness of table to be able to fit the clamp. I'm very happy with this item ... show more

My wife loves to crochet and knit, and loose, tangled yarn was previously a frustrating and regular occurrence before getting this. She absolutely loves this. She disappeared for a while yesterday, and when I found her she was so excited to show me all of the perfectly wound yarn balls she’d made. I think she actually had fun using this, and it’s so nice that if/when the yarn comes unwound that it’s no longer a huge problem and instead can easily be wound into a ball that’s nicer than how it originally came from the store. It’s not a negative, but I will point out that like any product that secures to a table, you’ll have a much better experience if you use a table with a squared off edge. Our table has a somewhat rounded edge, but she was able to make it work and just wind the yarn balls more slowly. Overall, we couldn’t be more thrilled with this. Solid five stars! ... show more
