The media could not be loaded. I ordered the pink and white electric yarn winder. And I have very mixed feelings, but overall I'm not happy with this so far. I decided to try this yarn winder after a much "heftier" one broke on nearly every use. I didn't want one that clamped to a table or desk, but that's what I was left with. And even with a clamp (that can leave marks on your surface), this is still very wobbly when in use. The wobbling doesn't seem to affect the winding itself though. My bigger issues are the extremely weak motor and the fact that mine doesn't look like any of the product images (the metal arm that gets screwed in opposite the spindle is much shorter than what's pictured, and I half suspect the screw hole was put in the wrong place. The motor is the bigger problem though. I tested it with a medium worsted weight acrylic yarn. The motor is too weak to pull a relatively loose strand of yarn from the center of a skein (no tangles or knots, almost no resistance at all when I pull it). That's on the normal setting for a medium weight yarn. And if I try the max power, the whole machine wiggles loose from the clamp and starts rotating. Not great. So I have to manually loosen everything anyway, which requires stopping every 10-20 seconds, as if you have too much loose the machine seems to stop on its own anyway (see my video to see what I'm experiencing... this is with the yarn already freed from the skein, but the motor can't handle that some loose yarn sits on other loose yarn, even though it's incredibly light and not tangled together at all). This is also a much lower capacity winder than the one it's replacing. I really hoped to find one to do larger cakes from my 16oz skeins to minimize how much joining I need to do during projects. But no luck. I'm not even halfway through one (8oz) and the yarn cake is too close to the feeder yarn because of the metal arm issue. (On further testing, things seem to go wonky once I get to the 5-6oz range. And I couldn't go bigger than 8oz w/o the yarn cake hitting the metal that holds the tension piece, probably because mine sits too close to the machine unlike those product pictures. It did handle 4oz skeins fine though.) Overall, disappointing. I'll reach out to the seller to see if the metal arm is an error and if they can send a replacement piece as it leaves the feeder yarn much too close to the ball as you go, seriously limiting your yarn ball size. But the motor itself seems to be the bigger problem. And that's a real shame because it does seem to make a decent yarn cake. But what's the point of having this as a time-saver if I have to stop every few seconds?

Garbage! Missing a screw hole so I cannot attach the arm to the machine the way I’m supposed to. I tried to use it anyway and it wouldn’t feed correctly. It’s just it’s terrible. It’s just garbage do not buy.

This product is amazing! First winder and I am so thrilled on it! It most definitely is a value of money! Nothing wrong about it! Although I would want one just a tad bit bigger, I still like this. It gets the job down quick, easy, and fast! It is super durable as well.
