Needed to replace a 13KW heater that quit after some years of service. Liked this one since it was 14KW and had a 3.6 GPM flow rate. I'm limited to a 60 AMP breaker and this seemed to be the best alternative. Installation was quick and easy. Long hot showers aren't a problem. I had needed a flow restrictor on my tub with the old unit and it took forever to fill. I found that the next larger restrictor works with this unit and tub fills more quickly but a restrictor is still necessary as I would expect it to be with any smaller water heater. Can't speak to longevity yet but so far really like this little heater. My old one only showed the desired water temp. This one shows actual temp which is kind of cool. ... show more

Installation is easy if you know basic plumbing and electrical. Been using a week, no drop in hot water, we tested temp before and after. Really like digital temp reading on front only comes on when water running. Watch YouTube video you'll need ips isolator valves see my picture. We also needed heavier ga wire because old house not up to code and breaker. Had to get county permit in Florida. ... show more

Product is good quality but the downside is that when there a power outage, sytems shutsdown. You have to go a reset and repower. The heated is installed under kitchen cabinet and have to go into it to restart. Contacted customer support and did not offer any solution, other than they were working on a remote control model.very dissapointed!! ... show more

If you give it 50 amps with the equivalent heavy wire needs and I mean heavy it will give very hot water. Absolutely silent and I have had one of these before and it never misses beat after years of use.

This is my second go around with this heated. First one died 1 week after installing. Plumber charged me $200 to install and $100 to remove. Second one died 2 weeks into using.
