Professionally carefully installed. Worked perfectly for less than a month; and, then quickly died within a matter of two hours. Because of the ease in re-installation, will likely order a duplicate replacement; and will adjust my rating based upon its performance.

For only about $190 currently, this water heater is a great deal, and the quality is well worth the price and then some. Do note that you'll need your own wiring, as well as two 40A circuit breakers plus ground, on top of the requisite water pipes. This water heater is very well made, and it's actually very easy to set up as long as you're proficient with basic wiring and simple plumbing. It's fast to heat up water, and you can adjust the flow rate to compensate for different ambient temperatures. It's sturdy and durable, and reasonably heavy; it's possible to lift yourself pretty easily when it's empty but you'll definitely want help mounting it. The input and output are clearly labeled with blue and red colors, though obviously they're also the standard (cold on the unit's left, hot on its right). It's reliable, with no outages or errors despite me already using for a long while now, and it's very convenient to be able to save energy and only use power when you're actually using hot water. It's also intuitive to adjust, which is very handy when you're setting it up or if you have guests who might need different water temperatures than you do. There are a few minor downsides. You'll need your own wiring - high voltage copper wires, two 40A circuit breakers, as well as a ground connection. You cannot at all plug this into a standard outlet, it's not even possible, there's no "plug". I'll also note, this water tank itself is not at all water-resistant; you can't set this up anywhere moist. The only places water should ever go in or on this, is into the 'cold' input and out of the 'hot' output. As with any water-based appliance, you're advised to set up a descaling solution in front of the input line, that way you don't ever have to disconnect it for standard descaling. In the same vein, a cutoff valve also is advised, and you need to avoid leaving water in it when it's freezing, because if water freezes inside of this, it will break. * I only review things that I personally use myself and keep using often. * I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. * I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product. * I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, and everything in between. * If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them. * And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

I installed this water heater as a point-of-use solution in my detached home office bathroom about two months ago, and the self-modulating technology has delivered consistently comfortable hot water on demand without the frustrating lukewarm output that my previous small tank heater produced during back-to-back uses throughout a busy workday. The 240V 12KW power rating handles a single bathroom application comfortably at my incoming water temperature, producing genuinely hot output within seconds of turning the tap without any warm-up wait or wasted water running down the drain while the temperature climbs. The compact white housing installs cleanly under a sink or on a wall without consuming meaningful space, and the self-modulating design automatically adjusts power consumption based on actual hot water demand rather than running at full draw continuously the way fixed-output units operate. The installation process is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic electrical work at the 240V level, though I'd strongly recommend having a licensed electrician verify that your dedicated circuit and breaker sizing meets the 12KW draw requirements before energizing the unit since proper electrical infrastructure is the single most critical factor in both performance and long-term safe operation.

This on-demand tankless water heater has a very nice, sleek design! It comes with mounting attachments, screws, filters, o-rings and instruction. Very easy to install, size is small enough to fit in corners and doesn't occupy a lot of space on the wall. Electrical wirings are color-coded for 220V and there's definitely no room for errors! Very efficient in heating water continuously. I've used this heater for washing machine and can keep up with the demand. It's tankless so it won't use a lot of electricity to heat up water. My previous tankless heater lasted 3 years, so I'm hoping this one would too! Easy to set up with temperature you desire to use.. The higher the velocity of water, the better it works as it triggers the sensor better. It's well- worth using it. The only thing I had to buy a reducer from 1/2" to 3/4" to connect the water heater/water supply to the heater. Connectors are not that expensive at all.

This review is for the GREATBEAR brand ‘Electric Tankless Water Heater, 12KW On Demand Water Heater 240V. This is a decent little water heater, though you will need to run heavy wiring and probably add a special breaker to your breaker box. If you don’t have the knowledge and training to do this yourself, it can get pretty expensive depending on how far you have to run the wires. It appears well made and durable and has worked properly so far. It’s suitable for a single bathroom or kitchen. Pros: Quick, never ending hot water since it doesn’t rely on a tank. It is absolutely tiny compared to a tank-style water heater, and so is easy to mount wherever you need it. While upfront costs are high, water heaters of this style save power (and thus money) long term compared to tank-style water heaters. Cons: As previously mentioned, the requirement to run new wiring (and heavy wiring at that) and modify your breaker box can be a significant upfront cost. Can have trouble heating water enough for a shower in colder areas. Overall, I’m impressed with this little water heater. It does its job well. Five stars.

Since it’s 240V I had to have my brother in law come over and help me run the heavy wires and put in a new breaker. If you don't know about electricity don’t try to do it yourself cause it pulls a lot of power. Once we got it mounted on the wall it looks real nice and it's tiny compared to the old tank we had before. We put this in our basement apartment and it works great for the shower and the kitchen sink. The best part is the hot water doesn't ever run out. It's great when you first experience the water is just as hot at the end as it was when it started. It’s got self-modulating which I think means it only uses the power it needs. This is way better than what we had and I don't have to worry about a big tank rusting out and flooding again. For the price I’m very happy with it. As long as you or someone you know can install this properly it's worth hooking this up to some part of your home especially a second shower. Hot water was always a big issue before but now I can just come downstairs and get hot water on demand no matter when I use it.
