Hello everyone, I’m writing my first-ever review because the customer service I got from ECOTOUCH was just that good. I live in an RV full-time, and when my old propane water heater died, I had a choice: spend $500+ for another heater with only 15 minutes of shower time, or find a way to get unlimited hot water. I found the ECOTOUCH ECO140S online. The price was reasonable and the reviews were great, so I went for it. The heater looks modern and slick, and the install was pretty direct, though you need to know how to handle 240V wiring and some plumbing. The most important part is getting the right 60AMP double pole breaker. The unit was a bit tall, so I made a custom mount for it. Hooking it up with some stainless steel connectors was easy. Having unlimited hot water is amazing. It's a real blessing to take a proper shower, and the hot water gets to the faucet in 5 seconds flat. After 10 great months, the heater stopped sensing water flow. I was worried, but I emailed customer support. A representative named Paula replied in less than 12 hours! She apologized and offered me a brand new replacement right away. She rushed it to me, and I got it in two days. I was blown away. Paula's service was better than Home Depot or Walmart—it was gold-standard. I was only without hot water for 3 days total. My new heater is installed and running great. Thank you, Paula and ECOTOUCH, for your amazing service. I’ll be buying an ECOTOUCH cooktop from you soon! I hope this helps anyone considering their products. This is my honest, unpaid opinion.

I installed this in our garage so we could have hot water available for hand washing, car washing, etc. It has a roughly four foot run of pipe between the heater and the sink so it takes about 15 second or so to get hot water at the sink, depending on the water temperature. We have it set at 100 degrees, and it heats up quickly and just keeps on supplying hot water. It's only 8kW, so it won't supply your whole house, but for a single faucet it's perfect. Very happy with it.

I tried a Rheem 18kW and it was horrible E5 code as soon as i turn it on and i paid 600+ from home depot bad choice. I ordered this and waited 2 days got it installed it in 30 min I’m not an electrician or a plumber but shark bite are the best. We have 6 bedroom 7 people 4.5 bathrooms. I’m able to take showers are 120 with no errors even if we take showers back to back the hot water is never done ! Quality of the build and simplicity of install are A+ an app would have been great can’t forget I’m replacing 2x40 gallon electric tank heaters. The key is getting a system that match your water flow rate. Good luck

The largest hot water heater element (the part that heats up) is 9000 Watts. For each heater element, you need a 40 Amp Circuit breaker, as the wiring is the most difficult part. You have to have an electrical panel with the capacity and the thick wire for each element. When my EcoSmart 27KW tankless heater died after 8 years (pinhole leak sprayed on the triacs and that was it), I considered buying another (buy the way, the Rheem and the EcoSmart are the same, just look at the internals), I did not want to pay another $500+ for an old school tankless water heater that puts everything in the water. The EcoTouch uses a stainless steel tube with external coils to heat the water, so no corrosion. It also heats up extremely fast. The Display is also an improvement; instead of showing you the temperature setting, the EcoTouch shows the output water temperature it can achieve and the flow rate. So, you can now see how the heater is performing instead of what you set it for. I am sold, I only hope it lasts as long as it should.

I was so hesitant to buy a tankless water heater. How can something so much smaller than a traditional tank, work as well? Husband convinced me to try. It’s wonderful!! Yes, it is a fraction the size of a traditional water heater, but that’s a plus! More room in garage.. It has a digital display of water temp, I can watch it go up as I use the garage slop sink. It heats up just as fast as the old one. I like very hot showers and this one gets very hot. We do have it set on the highest setting. Our electric bill has also decreased as it doesn’t constantly run to beat water, it only runs when you are using water. The value for the money is excellent as it’s not nearly as expensive as a traditional water heater. I am still so amazed at size and had I not seen it being Installed, never could have noticed anything changed. It’s definitely the way to go!! My neighbor also bought this one a few months before we did and she loved hers too, her electric bill also went down.

This has been a reliable water heater for me. The hot water is endless. The hook up was easy. It's easy to adjust the temp. The hotness of the water does fluctuate at first so give it a minute or so after the hotwater starts if taking a shower. I wash clothes while showering all the time and I do not have any issues. After it warms up, the water temp remains constant at the temp you set it at. It does use a 60amp fuse so make sure you have a double pole fuse space in your fuse box. This water heater is probably sufficient for a family of four living in the Southern part of the country. Once you start going north, expect the KW increase to have hot water on demand. In other words, the colder the water your heating, the higher KW water heater you'll need.

I bought two of these at the same time one worked out of the box flawlessly the other one powered up, but did not show a flow. I emailed the company in within 24 hours. They replied back to me. We tried some technical stuff and it did not work. They sent me a brand new unit that I received in three days. It worked flawlessly. this company was very professional, and I highly recommend them.
