It takes a long time to get hot water to my kitchen sink. So I wanted a tankless system to make up the difference. The first tankless heater (120V) I tried was too small. So this time, before going through the trouble of installing a new circuit and doing the plumbing, I decided to test out the heater at the laundry tub first. The quick answer is that this 6500 watt heater is sufficient to service my kitchen sink. Below are the details of my testing. Note that your results will vary, depending on the temperature of your incoming water. ● I supplied the heater from the cold water outlet to ensure consistent starting temperature. My baseline cold water temperature was 61°F. ● I used a measuring cup and stop watch to determine flow rates. The inlet side was unrestricted, and flow rate was controlled at the outlet side. ● Even though the LED display shows the tank temperature, I used an instant-read thermometer to read the actual output temperature. ● To determine the 3 liter per minute (0.8 Gal/min) flow rate at maximum temperature, I gradually increased the output flow until I detected a drop in output temperature, and then measured that flow rate. ● My plumbing fittings and setup may have limited the maximum flow to 7.5 L/min, but does not necessarily represent an unrestricted flow rate with final plumbing.

This is a great solution for areas where you need hot water, but you do not have the space for a conventional water heater. Our work bathroom has a tiny hot water heater that runs out of hot water after about 10-15 minutes. Then it stays Luke warm. This is simple enough to set up if you are handy. It comes with most of the parts you need for set up. You can mount it safely to a wall that is out of the way. This heats up water rapidly when needed.

I have two tankless water heaters at my home. They do a great job for the big jobs. What they are not good at is small jobs like the kitchen sink. To get hot water at any location you have to turn the water on hard enough to get the tankless unit to kick in then leave the water running. I install this one under the sink between the tankless and the sink. We can now step up there wash a few items and walk away. My wife hated it when I would let the water run to keep it hot. If we run the water out of this one the tankless will kick in and continue to provide hot water. I had considered using a small tankless but did not have the electrical requirements for most of them this solved the problem.

I just read the other reviews. I am not changing mine, but it is important to note that the unit that I got is a 120 volt model. Truly plug and heat. Having used this heat now for a longer period of time, I want to add a comment. What I said previously holds true today, but I have observed that the water pressure, both hot and cold, has been reduced considerably. It is still a steady stream, more than a trickle, but much weaker than it was. One last caveat. I have the unit powered by an outlet that is wall-switched. I discovered, when I thought that the heater had failed, that someone had been turning the power off. I have taped the switch ON. I'll go back to the original review: or some reason, hot water takes more than a minute to find its way from the tank in the garage to the sinks in our bathroom, a distance of maybe 25 feet. After 4 years in this house, I have gotten tired of waiting to wash my hands. Then I saw this unit. Although I am a VINE member, I was still impressed enough with the very low price of this heater to have bought one at the full retail. I still find it hard to believe how inexpensive it is. But there is a downside. It cost me about $280 to have it installed, by a friend who charged me very little per hour. But that does not reduce my amazement at the price of the unit. And boy, does it make hot water!! VERY hot, in about ten seconds. And there is enough in the tank to keep the water hot while the water from the heater in the garage figures out where I am. So far, I am completely happy with this unit.

I got a different water heater for the bathroom sink so my wife and daughters could have easy access to warm water to wash their faces during camping trips so now I got this one to use on my kitchen sink to make washing dishes easier and so far it's been doing it's job. It'll stay hot for about 15-20 minutes before it starts dropping in temperature, but for a RV with small amounts of dishes it's perfect. It's small and compact like I wanted too, good product.

_The "JHiveGym_6500W Tankless Water Heater Electric,240v Constant Temperature Instant Mini Hot Water Heater With Automatic Control System, Fault Self-Test Function Electric Tankless Water Heater (6500W White)" will provided some of the heat need. The faucet where the unit will be installed already have an 220/240 volt outlet nearby. We mount the "JHiveGym_6500W Tankless Water Heater Electric" on a 3/4" plywood and the plywood to the wall. The number 10 AWG electric cable connections is inside a water proof conduit with service loop. A cut off switch is installed up top. The water lines is next we make sure all threads is wrap multiple times before making the water connections. All water connections have it own shut off valve. A little over kill yes, we gladly pay the money now to sleep better. After turn on the water to verified they are leak proof and the shut off valve work. We turn on the electric, one the hot water is running within a few second the water already hot. We will see how long it will last. I wish had notice a stingy 6 month warranty before purchase this at time of purchased of120.00USD--

This is a small but powerful continuous water heater. It is easy to install and use. It uses about the same amount of electricity as a hair dryer. Located at the point of use, it is very convenient. It was easy to install and connect. A small and inexpensive solution.
