The stove looks nice and expensive on my counter. I tried to boil water on both sides when on max power. It boiled pretty fast, I would say not more than 5 min. I was surprized that the smaller side boiled water too when it has max 300 watt power. The stove gets very hot when on max and it does cool down slow. They are heavy and they take a long time to heat up, but once at high temp, they hold the heat a very, very long time. Excellent quality and I would recommend this burner to anyone who needs one.

I chose this one because of the 1500 wattage and I'm happy I did because it actually stays at a higher heat which I need to cook certain foods. The others I've had would shut down automatically I guess as a safety feature but it ruined my meals and took more of my time when I'd have to wait for it to reach temp again. I've only used it a couple or so times so far but I very happy with this purchase. Also it's esthetically nice so that's a plus. ... show more

I bought this product in February of this year and it worked great for the first few months and now, all of a sudden, it stopped working. I can't get it to heat anything up or boil water. This is my only source of cooking since my stove went out. I'm still in the process of saving up money to buy a new stove and now I have to turn around and buy another hot plate. This is ridiculous.
