I ordered this for my daughter who knows how to sew but no long takes on any big jobs outside of fixing holes in clothes. It’s very handy because she no longer has to bring the items needing repair to the sewing room at our house but can do the work at her home. The machine is very small making it easy to store. I wish it came with some sort of a cover, hard or soft, but that was easy to remedy. She just sewed one up with her machine. It comes threaded so you can take right off and get to work! The threading process is clearly described and easy to follow. The tension on the stitching is decent. It is a loud machine when stitching but nothing too annoying. The foot pedal is tiny. For the price, it is a good option.

This is a fantastic little sewing machine for beginners. It has all the basic features you would need to start making or altering your clothes such as patterned sewing and even button hole making features. It's pretty lightweight yet sturdy enough to stay put on a counter. The kit it comes with is also the perfect started kit with all the different threads and tools you need. I just wish it came in a case with a cover since once you open the bag, it's not secured. The machine is on the louder side but is pretty powerful for it's size and can even sew through denim. It has a slow and fast speed as well as a push pedal. I think my biggest disappointment is the pedal and speed control. The machine can be used by flipping a switch up or down with automatically just starts sewing at that speed until it's flipped off. Alternatively, you can use the foot pedal to start/stop the machine. The foot pedal works well, but its super light and cheap feeling. It also doesn't sense pressure, it's just an on/off function. Can't expect too much from a low cost machine, but it's one thing i would have liked to see improved as a beginner needs MORE control than someone who is advanced. Other than that it has a ton of other small and standard features. Thread cutter built in works well. Bobbin wrapper built in. Light while the machine is plugged in. Hand controlled dial. Replaceable foot pedals. Etc. The instructions were also full of information on how to use the machine and help you get started. The diagrams can be a bit hard to follow in some spots, but it's certainly a great resource. Totally recommend for casual use or for beginners.

This "Electric Sewing Machine for Beginners" is like having your own personal fairy godmother, but instead of turning pumpkins into carriages, it turns fabric into fashion! The built-in lights are brighter than my future, ensuring that not even a single stitch can hide from me. With 12 stitch types, it offers more variety than my local ice cream shop. The two automatic sewing speeds are aptly named 'Tortoise' and 'Hare'. The 'Tortoise' speed is perfect for when you're sewing a button while watching your favorite soap opera. The 'Hare' speed, on the other hand, is ideal for those last-minute Halloween costumes. The foot pedal is more responsive than my last date, and the 42-piece toolkit has more accessories than a Hollywood diva. As for portability, this machine is so compact, I once mistook it for my lunch box! It's perfect for household use, travel, and impromptu 'Project Runway' challenges in the park. In conclusion, this sewing machine doesn't just sew, it sows joy, creativity, and a whole lot of "Wow, you made that?!" moments.

Not sure why it has so many good reviews. Maybe I got a defective one as the stitches kept bunching up at the bottom, even after adjustments were done. Not strong enough for Jeans fabric.

Every decade or so we tell ourselves "we're going to get a sewing machine." And like clockwork, we buy a second hand one then think about projects and think about projects and think some more. Then we decide, "we're never going to use this" and give it to someone who will. We still have our last one (you can see it in the background). We have tried to thread it, and that's as far as we got. So... knowing better, we ordered this little machine. The first things we noticed when we removed it from the box - it arrives pre-threaded and ready-to-go. It also comes with the little piece of fabric that proves it works. We are left with no excuses! We WILL use this one. IT is exactly the size we need. Unlike previous sewing machines it has a pedal foot with a decent length cord. It comes with everything one could possibly need to get started: Scissors, a seam ripper, needles, assorted thread, pre-wound bobbins and an easy to read (small) instruction book. There is no assumption that one has taken a sewing class or knows any sewing machine terminology. This little machine is set-up for success. Yes, we have plugged it in. We have stitched a short line. It works and it's pretty quiet. And we really have no excuses for not stitching up a few cat toys this weekend : ) Check this "Channel" later for proof (Or lack thereof).
