I bought 2 of these for my niece (7) and nephew (5). They are actually pretty darn awesome. They won the title of best Christmas presents by a long shot this year, and these kids are totally spoiled with cool toys. Super easy for them to learn to ride, they took maybe ten minutes to get the whole concept mastered, they love the lit up wheels, and the speed (Not unsafe but pretty exciting for youngsters). 5 stars definitely recommend. ... show more

Seemingly pretty sturdy. My tot is 50lbs and full-speed-ahead 24/7/365. This scooter is the perfect upgrade from his Radio Flyer, in my opinion. The obvious preference for an electric scooter is a widely paved trail at a meandering park on a beautifully sunny day. BUT when the package arrived and it was too awesome to wait for the stars to align - a few quick trips around the block will do the trick.
