I bought this scooter as a graduation gift for my son, so he can save gas and be able to get around on campus being a freshman. I'm am so pleased to say it's sturdy durability is worth every penny spent. The weight capacity is over 260lbs + and the speed is great. It folds very easy. He loves the turn signals, brake light and the headlights especially at night because he's visible to others. It's has way more features than then described. Battery life is long lasting. Height adjustment is good. So many good things but the best is the scooter allow my son to make it to class on time and 2 months as a college student he was just inducted in to the Honors College and has all A's I'm so proud of him and he so thankful he doesn't have to walk around campus and he said it's fun to ride with great functionality. I bought this scooter one month ago to take me to and from a new job. My goal was to buy an excellent scooter which did not cost a lot of money. This scooter is amazing. It has high quality materials, is sturdy, has multiple speed modes and easily goes up hills( i weigh 160). Honestly, with tax it is the best $300 i have ever spent. For the price it is a beautiful machine. One thing to be aware of, the headlight is not sufficient for nightnl travel. I use a 1200 lumens head lamp to make night travel permissible. If you want a high quality scooter and don't want to pay a fortune this scooter is the best option. Simply, I love the thing and it is a tremendous value for what you pay. I've had 3 of the EC6 and they were such a pain but once I got the EC8 I haven't had a problem! It rode VERY VERY smooth , good battery life as well and the breaking system is much much better in this design! It is worth the price as well. DEFINITELY recommend

I'm happy with the product as well as the customer service from both Amazon and the company! I feel confident in my decision of purchasing this scooter out of the many options available...customer service is through email and communication was very smooth with quick and helpful responses. I rarely ever take the time to write reviews so this should tell you how impressed I've been. Ec8 has good speed, decent battery life but not amazing, comfortable ride quality, brakes feel stable and safe, awesome value for the money and the fact it weighs less than 30lbs, folds down and I can fit it in my trunk plus it's so easy to operate gives it top notch functionality! ... show more

The TLDR is that it's a good basic scooter, but lacks some features that other, cheaper alternatives have including app availability. There are a few things that keep this scooter from getting a full 5 stars, mostly in many small build quality issues, price, and overall functionality of features. The pros: It is fairly easy to use and basic, there is not a lot of fuss and it works well as an electric scooter. It folds neatly and has a small footprint when folded. It fits easily in the trunk of most cars, since it fits in my 2020 Nissan Versa sedan. It is a little heavy, but most people should be able to move it up/down a single flight of stairs. It charges fairly quickly and the LCD is easy to read. There are also multiple modes to help save battery which is really nice as well as a battery level indicator to let you know roughly how much battery you have left. It comes with a handlebar bag/storage that is a nice touch for a lock/charger. The headlamp and tail light are plenty bright so other motorists see you are there. It also comes with a bell installed which is really nice. It also accelerates well, has a good top speed (~20 mph), and a smooth ride. The various drive modes are nice when trying to be conscious of saving battery. The cons: It was fairly easy to put together, but there was some fit issues and it seemed that one of the threads was incorrectly done, since it took quite a bit of effort to get a screw into it when assembling the handles. By quite a big of effort I mean that I actually didn’t think it would screw in at all. Charging is fairly quick, but there is no indication on the scooter if it is charging or not. The indication is on the charger itself and it's an LED that indicates whether it is fully charged or if it is charging. This isn't a deal breaker, but can be annoying if you just want a quick battery level without having to unplug and turn it on. The lights as a whole are not super functional. The blinkers are nice in theory, but I don't think they are actually very visible. They are on the handle bars, so if you are wider than the handlebars it might not be seen by motorists. In my opinion they would be better on the back of the scooter next to the tail light or on both the tail light and handle bars. On my scooter the left blinker doesn't work at all. The headlight itself is powerful enough to be seen, but not enough to properly illuminate the road in front of you, to ride at night you definitely need a bike light - however the lights do work great for day time visibility. The position of brake lines are also directly in front of the headlight so it casts a shadow in front of you, not a deal breaker just one of those annoying things. Braking is also a little loud, I feel that it should have broken in by now. Similar to the sound of new bike brakes, but it hasn't gone away. Maybe it’ll go away with more use or maybe a little dirty from the factory, over time they have quieted down a little - this is mostly FYI. I think my biggest con is that my front wheel is misaligned (picture attached). This leads me to think there is some questionable build quality/quality control. That doesn't give me a great amount of confidence on the road, but I will say I have not had any issues where I felt safety was compromised up to this point and everything does seem bolted down well. If you are on the market for an electric scooter I would consider this for the good price, but I would highly suggest to look at other options due to the large amount of alternatives.
