I immediatly grabbed my kids and filled a jar halfway with marshmallows. They quickly doubled in size and we left the jar sealed on the kitchen counter for the last week. They have not shrunk back down at all. I read some reviews about the seal not lasting, this product does not affect your seal, it only creates the vacuum. The seal is a product of your lids and jars. If you use old lids and dirty or defective jars your seal will not last. I found this sealer very easy to switch between normal and wide mouth. I have sealed or tested about 50 jars with only a very small decrease put in the battery. This has easily earned a spot in my kitchen.

After I figured out I had to take the ring off (little obvious in hindsight) it worked great and created a strong seal not sure if it's actually pulling a vacuum inside the jar, but I assume that's not the point of these things. Pretty easy to use just set it on top of the jar and push the button, for a half gallon it counted down 120 seconds and was done. Lifted right off no issues and I was able to put quite a bit of force on the lid without dislodging it

Works as intended, make sure you give it enough time to suction...first few times using it, only let it run for 30-40 seconds, seal didn't hold. Could have been the lid too

I love this newest gadget in my kitchen. I put nuts, candy, and herbs so far in the jar and it is quick and easy to work. Just line it up and push the button and let it suck out the air to keep everything FRESH !!!! I then ordered some for Christmas Gifts :)

I already have a food saver and all the attachments for it, but to reseal a jar means I have to drag it out of the cupboard. So I decided to give this a try, glad I did. It works just fine and I can leave it sit on the counter because it takes up very little space.
