  • Food processor Cuisinart

Easy to use love it

  • Light Duty Processor
Size: Food Processor
The base is lightweight, which is nice for lifting out of the cabinet. The on/off is a dial which seems easier to use than my previous button models. I had a Kitchen Aid food processor previously, and this model is much less powerful, the bowl much thinner, and overall seems cheap by comparison. But at one-fourth the price, I expected that. The simplicity makes it easy to operate and clean. Durability can't be assessed, since I've only used it three times. ... show more

  • Food Processor Power at affordable price
Size: Food Processor
This is a great FP for price price point. Included 2 blades. Only thing that could have made this more perfect was a way to adjust width of feed opening so that smaller items don't slide sideways like celery. To account for this next time I will leave carrots and celery in super long stalks so that I can help keep them vertical going into the blade. ... show more

  • A $55 alternate to S500 Hestan Cue and $1500 Breville Poly science Probe Induction Cooktops
Size: Induction Cooktop
If you are looking for closed loop probe temperature control similar to Hestan Cue and Breville Poly science, this is an economical alternative. If you are not then get a basic Duxtop for $56 - or similar. The closed loop ability might actually deserve 5 stars - certainly for value compared to the above 2 alternates. Gave 3 stars because the device is hobbled by one of the worst Support apps ever written. And to use the closed loop features, you must use the App, as there are only power set feature on the device itself - and no display. If you want to see what the App 'could have been', download the Hestan Cue App and use it in Preview mode. But the One Top App doesn't come close. I suggest bypassing the recipes. On startup and connection you will be given 3 choices - Basic, Precision, or Soups Vide. Basic is useless. It only sets Power, same as device buttons. You want Precision. Here you can set target temperature for the Cooktop temp sensor, or the Probe. Say you want to simmer a pot of soup or marinara sauce. You clip the probe on the pot, set temp to say 170F. It will get there and then hold it within a few degrees. Great. If you simply want to melt chocolate or cook to at a specific pan temperature, you set the alternate Cooktop temp rather than the probe target temp. That also works reasonably well. But be aware there will be a temperature difference between the setting and the actual pan 'inside'/product which is very dependent on the specific pan/pot/skillet material conductivity. Also, using pan temperature control rather than target probe has one serious flaw/deficiency - it seems you can't change the temperature 'on the fly' - as is easily done on any basic Duxtop-type burner. Instead, you have to stop cooking, then reset the temperature, then start cooking again..a real pita. So - in summary - for closed loop probe control -:a good buy. Otherwise, get something else. ... show more

  • It's pretty good
Size: Blender Combo
This blender/ food processor combo was a gift. Pros: 1.) Packaging is mostly molded lightweight cardboard - so much more environmentally friendly than Styrofoam and a lot of plastic. 2.) Simple design. a.) There’s the attachments for the blender. b.) For the food processor, there’s the chopping attachment and then the stem and blade for slicing and shredding. c.) The controls are either pulse, low, high or off. 3.) It does a decent job of all the basic functions (purees - not quite as fine as I would like, but still OK). 4.) The size of the blender is fine -7 cups. The food processor fits 3 cups - so also handles all but the largest jobs. You could also break things into batches if you needed more space. 5.) Efficient use of allowing the blender and food processor having the same base. So, you might have a day like I did, where you make something that uses the blender, say a roasted garlic and mayonnaise sauce, followed by the food processor, with sliced vegetables… using one machine. 6.) Big plus: Everything (except the base) can be put into the dishwasher compactly - without taking up all the space. 7.) I like the fact that the bowl for the blender and the food processor attachment have a ‘squared’ bottom. This makes it easy for you to take them off the motorized base and take things out while being stable on a counter surface. It also appears to make ice crush faster - if you use the longer cubes that come out of freezer ice maker for your smoothies. It other blenders, that ice gets held up as the bottom gets more narrow. Cons: 1.) Not a lot of written direction. But to be fair, I do think it’s mostly self-explanatory if you’ve had a blender or food processor before. Could be a plus - if you wind up throwing the instructions away anyway - like I typically do after one read. 2.) I don’t think the look of it is a ‘wow’ - it’s more of an ‘OK’ look - but personally I tend towards preferring the look of stainless steel/enamel. The bowls are plastic, as are the base. That makes it lightweight to handle (which could be a plus compared with a typical food processor), but it gives it a ‘less substantial’ look than, say, something made of metal and glass. So, if you’re looking for high end polish, this ain’t it. Overall though, it’s a like. ... show more

  • Good blender, stained by tomato.

It is an okay immersion blender. First time I used it in tomato soup it stained the plastic orange. The lock button engages often and is a bit annoying to have to hit a few times while blending. 09099 p
