⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Rockstar on the Course The G5 Electric Golf Cart is an absolute rockstar on the course. I’ve now used it for three full 18‑hole rounds, and I love it more each time. I only wish my golf game performed as reliably as the G5. Assembly was simple, the build feels solid, the weight is manageable, and the battery easily lasts multiple rounds— using only about half its capacity thus far. The follow‑me mode is the real standout. I carry the remote behind my back as I walk, drop it into a pouch on my golf bag when I reach my ball, hit my shot, grab the remote, and off we go again. It follows smoothly, stays centered on bridges, and handles every bit of terrain I’ve thrown at it. If it ever encounters an obstacle, the remote vibrates to alert me. I downloaded the app as a backup remote. There are plenty of adjustments available, but the factory settings have worked perfectly so far. The remote buttons are very sensitive, so using it in manual mode will take a little more practice—but honestly, when the follow mode works this well, why drive when the G5 will follow you like a loyal puppy? If you enjoy walking your rounds, the G5 feels like having your own personal caddy—if only it could tell me which club to use. Highly recommended.

So far, I have played three rounds with the G5 trolley. First round, it was a little distracting trying to figure out how best to work with it. Second round went better and third round, better still. Biggest takeaways, so far: - The follow mode works great most of the time. It works excellent with remote in the holster (clipped onto my belt BEHIND me) and pretty good when held in my hand (as long as I don't swing my arms much when I walk and don't bring the hand in front of me to hold a club, to put on or take off a glove, etc. The cart follows directly behind me. We have numerous bridges at our courses and as long as I walk down the middle of the bridge, the cart stays in the middle of the bridge. it does well avoiding greens and bunkers. It stays with me regardless of my pace of walk. I do wish the remote holster was better. With it on my belt in the small of my back, i sometimes struggle to get the remote to seat properly. And the buttons and joystick are very sensitive so I must be careful not to depress a button or the cart will suddenly stop following. I expect I will get better at this, the more I use it. - I have not used the march mode. I have had minimal experience with remote mode. The joystick is very sensitive. It was tough. I would probably do better with experience but the follow mode works so well I have no need to use remote or march modes. - Battery life is good. 6-7 miles walking 18 seems to use about half the battery capacity. - It moves well on rougher terrain. The remote vibrates to let me know to slow down a little as the cart is bumping along over roots and rough ground. - A couple of times a round it has gotten "confused". The remote vibrates to let me know there is a problem and I turn and press the follow button and the cart comes to me. - Assembly was minimal and easy. - The rear wheels fold in but I wish they were more recessed. I transport the G5 to the course in my EX-GO folded and standing on its back (display side) so the weight of the cart is resting on the rear wheels frame. And their frame is not as robust as I would like. - The detent knob for handle adjustments has three lock position in the up position but there is no lock for the fully folded position. The make loading and unloading a little awkward. - I downloaded the app but have not used it yet. There are lots of adjustments and options on the app but, for me, the trolley works great with its factory settings. So there are a couple quirks (Holster, detent locking when folded, etc.) the company should fix on future generations but so far, I extremely happy with my purchase and have recommended ICANGO to my friends. Finally, I bought the trolley in November of 2025. It shipped from China. Order to delivery time was eight days. No tariffs.

I’m from Minnesota, so this was my first time actually getting to use the unit. My initial experience was excellent—I’m honestly not sure I’ll ever go back to pushing a cart. The “follow me” feature worked great. It only got “lost” once, and a quick adjustment on my part fixed it. The remote works well too, though the joystick is a bit sensitive and the speed in manual mode feels a little slow—not a deal breaker, just something to note. There is a learning curve with the remote and the various features, so I highly recommend walking around your yard a few times before taking it out on the course. Like any product, it’s not perfect, and I’m sure future upgrades will improve things—such as adding a scorecard holder, fine‑tuning the joystick sensitivity, adding a tote bag to carry things and continuing to update the software. One feature I think they really need to add is a wheel “lock” when switching out of "follow mode". as well as when the unit is off and in the back of the vehicle (it rolls around and can get damaged) A few times, the cart started to roll away on me on the course. I’m sure there’s a way to prevent this, but as a new operator I couldn’t figure it out on the course. Battery life was impressive. I walked 18 holes and still had 75% remaining, so I could easily see getting 36 holes between charges. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about was the charger—it gets extremely hot, almost too hot to hold. Not sure if that’s normal or not, but putting a fan on it while charging helped keep the temperature down. I also had to contact the seller for an initial issue(you have to hold the power button down for a few seconds to get the power to turn on), and they responded within hours. Very helpful support. The price is about half of most competing units, yet it still offers features they don’t have. I’ve only used it once so far, but I would absolutely recommend it to others. I walked 18 holes and wasn't nearly as fatigued as I usually am after the round. Lastly, I didn’t experience any tipping issues—the unit felt very stable throughout the round. It is about 40 pounds so keep that in mind as you will need to be able to lift into a vehicle it can be cumbersome. Hope this helps!
