  • Fun to use and well made
I enjoy walking my local moderately hilly golf course but found that pushing a non motorized cart was starting to fatigue my legs by the 16th hole and as a result, affecting my swing with longer clubs. I didn’t want to give up walking the course and ride, however. Several other players had MGI carts and liked them so I bit the bullet and ordered one. It’s a great electric golf cart. It handles the hills very well and is easy to navigate with the remote. The main tip I would give is to get in the habit of routinely extending the small wheelie wheel as soon as you get the MGI out of your car if your course is at all hilly to prevent the cart from tipping over on upslopes. The cart motor is quite powerful and can get the cart up steep hills. The remote is effective for long distances, supposedly up to 150 yards, and it’s nice to be able to hit your approach shot in from 100-130 yards, and then just grab your putter and walk up to the green as your cart trundles off to the side of the green or even to the next tee box to wait for you. The battery is easy to attach and remove and is supposed to be good for 2 rounds but I charge mine after every round. The remote lasts many rounds before needing recharging, I’ve had my cart 5 months playing 2-3 times a week and have only had to charge the remote once. The cart opens and closes very easily and is actually easier to open and close than my previous pull cart. The only downside is that the MGI is somewhat on the heavy side, even with the battery removed. I think this is a reflection of how sturdy and well made the cart is. However, I don’t think the MGI is much heavier than many players fully loaded golf bags. ... show more

  • Best on the market!
I've got around 70 miles on my cart since November and am mostly, 92%, pleased. The cart is well made and easy to assemble. It's easy to break down and put into your van or car trunk. The battery charges really quick. After 18 holes it charges in about 2 hours. The phone holder accessory is useless. Your clubs will spill out over top the holder and the phone is not easily accessible. It has 9 speeds and no 1/2 or 1/4 speeds. Nothing in between. The Rheostat is not seamless. However, the remote control feature helps overcome this deficiency. But even with the remote it's either too fast or too slow. Stand bags will not fit properly. I now have 2 bags for that reason. This golf cart is a workhorse. It tackles all hills effortlessly and does everything a golfer could want. ... show more

  • Outstanding product
Have just had Zip Navigator for a couple of weeks but love it. It was simple to assemble and stores easily in the trunk. It's great on the golf course especially on hilly terrain. I've found myself having much more energy over the last few holes.

  • This product changed my life for the better
I have a good life. The children have grown into well-adjusted adults. I've had only one wife and she still sleeps in the same bed as me. I have friends who invite me to their houses and outings. My former work colleagues seem to light up when we run into each other. My dog has reliable bowel habits. If I have cancer, it will probably be one of the curable ones. Honestly, whatever problems I do have are first-world problems, for the most part. In that vein, I like to walk when I golf. In part for the exercise that comes from with a 6+ km hike, but mostly for the pace and the banter between friends as we make our ways to our shots. A walk is preferred over zipping quickly from shot to shot in a buggy. But I've aged out of carrying anything more than a super light limited set bag. And my golf club refuses to execute a reliable caddy program to save their careers (one of those 1st world problems). While there are push carts available for daily rental they are both too much work to wrestle and too often in disrepair (another 1st world problem). Electric "drone" carts have become popular at the club. Members buy their own and then bring them to the club for each round. Using the remote control, they simply zip your clubs to where your last shot landed, while walking unencumbered, as if you are with a caddy. The only thing that could relieve what responsibility remains for the clubs is to pay a caddy to work the remote. Or, I imagine, a high tech - enabled set up where your golf ball has some sort of unique homing beacon and a smart cart that is so smart it knows not to drive itself into one of the creeks when the ball comes to rest there. A handful of different models and styles of these things have been deployed at my club. There seems to be 3 or 4 tribes. Which one to join? All the Irish guys at the club seem to have chosen this MGI Zip Navigator model. I've noticed over the years that the Irish guys, A) like to use carts, and B) know all about the latest and best when it comes to carts. So I purchased this for that reason, and also because it would fold up into such a compact size that I could carry it on the back rack of my ebike when I travel to the club with it. My only quibble with the MGI Zip Navigator is how my stand bag rests on it. Specifically, my stand bag's legs, which originate at the level of the top of my bag, don't fit well at all with the top support bracket of the cart. The top support bracket is designed for a round tube, not for a round tube that has two leg holders sticking out of it. The net result is that the bag tends to shift over the course of a round to a lower entropy position. Fine, that's simple physics. But the resolved position is a sideways kattywompous that makes it difficult to find and pull clubs. This can be mitigated somewhat by how the support bracket straps are cinched around my bag, but I'm still learning how to best do that. This is why I withhold a star. The bracket needs improvement in the next iteration of this product, so that stand bags fit better. I've loved the experience of grabbing my putter before sending the drone over to the next tee box while I walk to the green and try not to four putt. Or hit a tee shot and then send the bag racing down the fairway chasing after the ball. And getting into drone races with my buddies! Such ergonomic efficiency and fun! Early on I thought the cart was a bit unstable on hills and I had a few discouraging spills. My playing partner from one of the other drone tribes would tisk tusk me about the stupidity of buying such an unstable machine. But that was all before I discovered the telescopic "4th wheel" (proper 1st world people like me do NOT read manuals). The 4th wheel, when extended, completely solves the instability issue. Now I just laugh in that guy's general direction every time he yips in his 5th putt. The 4th wheel is as brilliant of a solution as the upper support bracket is bad. The battery, remote, collapsible folding, and reversible wheels are all value-add features in a sum of the parts sort of context. I don't drive an antique sports car to my club, but if I did, this product would fold to a compactness suitable for that, where I doubt any comparable products would work. Except for the stupidly designed upper support bracket, this is a great product that has changed my life both in ways that I know and that I probably can't even sense. ... show more

  • The cart did not work brand new out of the package
I was supposed to take this cart on a golf trip and we were all walking the course. After putting it together and calling tech support it was determined there was a faulty component and would never work. I am waiting to hear back and am very frustrated I cannot get ahold of a live issue to return this item. ... show more

  • Worth it!
Easily set up. Took about 12-13 holes to become comfortable with the remote, but once acquainted with the unit, it’s very simple. I’m 70 and like walking the course; this will extend the years I can do so. Love it!
