Despite some negative reviews, I was a bit hesitant to buy, but I absolutely love this fireplace so far! All the settings and colors work perfectly. One reviewer mentioned not having all the fun vibrant color options, but mine certainly does!     • A lot better than expected

For the price I expected a light weight, thin metaled fireplace insert. It was surprisingly well made, with heavy gauge metal. The remote control is a bit of a pain if you like to change things up a lot. You have to cycle through each setting to get to the one you want. If you miss it you have to go around again. One nice thing, the brightness setting seems to be remembered. Nothing else does, so you have to turn on the fireplace, then click again to get low heat and then again if you want high heat. We just use it on high most of the time. I did test out the temperature settings and the fireplace did turn off when reaching the set temperature. Since the remote uses IR, I have just programmed my home assistant to go to the settings I want. So I can confirm that it works. One thing that might be of import to some is that it does not quite flush mount. I wold say there is a space of about 1/8 to 3/16 inch from flush. All in all a very good purchase. I flush mounted so cannot comment on wall mounting our the floor feet that came with it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. But the remote is a little hard to control. I love that I can enjoy the ambiance of a fire without the heat in the summertime even. I wish it had some sound of a crackling fire, but I still love it.

UPDATE...read addendum First, let me start by saying that I absolutely LOVE this fireplace. I was so excited to receive it that I almost leapt into the FedEx guys arms during these times of social distancing and I was social distancing before it was required, so that’s saying something. I skipped into the house with excitement, threw caution to the wind and quickly shredded the box with my box cutter. Doh! Big mistake. I didn’t consider that I might need to return it. Here’s where things get dicey. My husband began removing the items from the box and the only contents inside were the decorative rocks, the fireplace itself and two black brackets that we assume are for mounting. No instructions. No remote control. No screws, or other hardware. I had to do a deep dive on the Internet to find out what exactly was supposed to be included in the box. If we could’ve found an instructional video we probably would’ve just purchased the additional items ourselves, but we couldn’t find one and we don’t even have the remote control. I leave you with a joke. Customer at a restaurant orders soup. The waiter places the bowl on the table and walks away. The customer calls the waiter back and tells him to taste the soup. The waiter says is it too cold? The customer replies, just taste the soup. The waiter says is it too hot? Customer says WILL YOU JUST TASTE THE SOUP! The waiter says fine I’ll taste the soup. Where’s the spoon? Customer: “AHA”. That’s how I felt opening this box. I wanted to love it and hang it but I didn’t have anything needed to do so. It is a really nice fireplace. I plugged it in and used the power button on the unit to turn it on. It looks amazing. Hopefully, one day, it’ll be on my wall and not sitting on my living room floor, like it was intended to be. I gave this a three simply because of the missing items of necessity. The unit itself seems great. I will update to let everyone know how it turned out. Enjoy your fireplaces. The customer service is phenomenal. I didn’t receive the hardware, or the instructions for this fireplace, but Fiona, the customer service rep I spoke with went above and beyond to assist me and she answered my emails in a timely manner. We installed this, recessed in wall, in our new bathroom remodel last summer. We just started using it as colder weather is here. We love how it looks and heats the very big bathroom nicely. We have the white one. Installation was easy by adding a 2x4 frame in the wall. We hardwired it to an outlet we placed below it, so no wires are showing. We love it, hope it lasts, time will tell. I see the 30" is not available any more right now, so I hope it comes back in case we want a 2nd one. We were going to buy a 2nd in black, so we can change it up and have a backup.
