After a thoughtful search to replace a temporary heating problem, I decided the BTU’s and larger size of the fire box made it look better. Well worth every penny! It also has those safety features you need, like shutting off if it over heats. Which is hasn’t. There is no temperature change on the outlet. The reviews say it’s confusing. The most confusing part was taking out the wood look log and putting in the color coal options. It does require drilling a small mounting hole. Looks better than pictured. The heat comes out of the top and only in the center. My 3 and 1 yr old grandchild are safe. The pretty multi-colored flames stay cool. Thats what they are attracted too.

5 stars for looks that are clean and classy, ease of assembly (less than hour and a half), and a fireplace effect that is very nice and not cheap looking like many. Lots of color options if that’s your thing. The heater is quiet and adequate. I knocked a star off due to the plastic-y covered materials and texture that is not entirely smooth, and it you were to bump these little bumps you now have exposed damaged boards on the face of your new fireplace if you’re not very careful. Always build on carpet. The other negative I’d say is the flame could be brighter, even on its brightest setting it’s pretty tame. Also, this thing will tip if you sneeze too closely, so be aware as unit IS intended to attach to a flat wall. All around 4.5/5

The media could not be loaded. UPDATED REVIEW 2/3/26 I had originally gave this item a 5 star review but have decided to change it due to safety concerns. After not even a full year of LIGHT use (purchased 3/24) the other night my husand and I decided to take the chill out of the air and use the heating function. Thankfully it was us and not one of our children. About 30 minutes after turning on we started smelling a very strong burning plastic smell and noticed light smoke coming from behind the fireplace. We immediately unplugged it and the smell slowly faded. Today I reluctantly plugged it back in to check it and the heating element is completely out only blowing cold air now. Basically not even a year later im left with something that is unusable and a fire hazard. Unfortunately its way outside the return window so im also out the money spent. If you value your family and home I'd suggest only using this item when someone is present. Things could have ended much differently for our family had we not been home when this happened. Writing this review on my husband's account. This fireplace is gorgeous and functional. I love all the color settings and that it came with both the stones and faux wood for the insert options. The heater works better than expected and has ran us out of our open concept livingroom in the past. The remote is nice but it also has touchscreen buttons that go dark on the front which is nice because they blend in and go unnoticed until needed. Lots of settings and was pretty easy and quick to assemble. My teenage daughter actually did it for me while I worked. It's also well made and very sturdy. Overall after several months of use I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Sister in law is even considering purchasing one now I've talked mine up so much.

The media could not be loaded. Update: The company sent me a new remote. The piece works well, and for the price, it is beautiful. I would give it a 4.5 star. After figuring out how to get around the issue of not being square, Those who see it comment on how nice it looks. I am glad I didn't have to insert it and go through the hassle of building around it. My only complaint is that I wish to keep the heater on and turn off the light when sleeping since this is in my bedroom. I am leaving the text of my previous review intact. -------------------- I bought a 40-inch with a mantle, and let me tell you that the mantle could be a better fit for the heater. Here are a few installation tips: Don't attach the top until you fit the heater in and put the glass over it; you may have to disassemble parts of the bottom frame to fit the glass. Many times during the assembly, I wanted to return this product, but boxing both parts deterred me. The flame is unrealistic but not ugly, and my 12-week-old kitten likes it. The price seemed good, and I thought it would be a decent heater for my bedroom. I ordered the mantle because I didn't want to hire someone to install it, and I am not personally young enough, physically strong enough, or handy-sufficient to cut the wall, build a frame, fix the sheetrock, etc. Another big issue with the design is that the flame light will not turn off independently from the heater. If the heater is on, so is the fake flame, and for a bedroom, that is not a logical design. Finally, the remote I received only works sometimes, and dimming or increasing the light is impossible. I have contacted the seller and will let you know if they try to resolve the issue.

Pretty simple to assemble. I was slightly annoyed about having to remove and replace an installed part to be able to place/set the fireplace insert (per instructions). It seemed like double the work, but all in all it didnt take me that long. The flame is okay. I wish it had a setting for red to look more realistic, but for the price, its a pretty nice slim fireplace. Heats up a small room pretty fast and I like that it comes with a remote. Overall pretty happy with it for the price.
