So far this product works great. I have it at the end of my horse fence so that i can ensure the fence is hot without having to go and check it everyday. The light is not super visible from far away during the day-time understandably, but I can see it from almost half a mile away at night. So far its worked great and was easy to install. This is so much easier than approaching the fence with my 5 light tester any time I want to check the function. It's plenty bright but I do have to walk outside and move closer to it to be sure about the status when the sun is hitting it full in the face. Easy deal. When the sun is off it, I can look out the window to see the bright green LED lights flashing. A great investment. ... show more

Clipped on fence, sunk ground pin, and bright green light pulses with the fence. I can easily see from inside the house at night, and in the security cameras so I know if the fence is working when I'm not at home. You do need to be a bit closer to it (50') during the daylight hours.

This works as advertised, does what it says, and it's very affordable. I just wish it was brighter. It's almost impossible to see during the day. It's really more of a visual fence tester than a device to leave installed and look out to see whether the fence it on or not, because you can only see the light when it's cloudy or night time. ... show more

It is hanging on my hot wire for perimeter horse fencing and the green flashing light is visible for at least 500 feet. I can now glance out and see that the fence is still "hot'" instead of having to physically go out to check it. It is also a much better price than a competitor's. I purchased a second one for my barn paddocks fencing. No more guessing if the wire is "hot". ... show more

Blinking and clicking is not at regular interval. I have another brand few yards away to compare. However just as an indicator of working or not this is good for the price.

    • The lights don't show up in daylight
I purchased this Electric Fence Tester with LED Indicator Lights to replace another one I have. My old tester shows the voltage but this one does not have this feature. I wanted another tester because the lights on my old one don't show up in daylight. Guess what? This one doesn't either! When taken out after sunset, it shows you whether the fence is hot. If you don't mind having an inexpensive tester that you can't read in the daylight, there are other models that cost less and will show the voltage. ... show more
