I bought these to use with 1" electric fence tape, which had been powered by wrapping the tape around the electric fence wire and knotting it in place. These splicers worked on the tape to wire connection, tape to tape connection in the middle of a long run, and the gate handles. Heavy rain storms and high winds did not bother the connections, everything stayed tight. Easy to use and much better than tying knots. ... show more

    • Poor quality & poor construction not for 1" tape.

These poly tape splices are horrible. First off they are not welded at seam or even soldered. They will twist and split apart under tension. The binding cinch in the middle of the splice is of weak stainless which also bends and twists under tension. The closed loop from the cinch are either closed too tightly or are not pinched closed enough and they fall off. I had to solder these closed and readjust almost everyone of these. Total waste of my time. I should have spent a little more to get welded properly made splices to start with. ... show more
