I bought this to install on the side of my Micke Ikea desk which is about 41 inch since it's not a regular thing flat desk where I can clamp the mic arms. It works like a charm even thought this mic arm was meant for a wall. One thing I will note is that I didn't use the plugs and screws to install the mount onto my desk, I used different shorter screws. I see reviews of people complaining about the lack of sturdiness, but just make sure you screw it hard enough and it'll be good. Overall I'm really happy with the purchase as I can move it anywhere I'd like along with rotating it. I believe this is literally the only available wall mounted mic boom arm so I recommend it.

It's a good wall mount for a microphone. The range of motion isn't that great, but as long as you set it up and don't have to move it much, it will work (eg, like at your computer desk). The springs can be easily removed, to slightly increase the range of motion. However, if you do this, the arm will not hold its position well and might slowly sag.

I bought this particular one since the pictures claimed each arm was 15” long. That is incorrect, they are only 13”. Once you factor in all of the pieces, it will extend almost 32” away from the wall, however that is at about a15 degree upward slant and will not go perfectly horizontal. This design is definitely best used as a desk mount, not wall mount.
