There are T shaped pins holding rope and paper. They are able to not only stab you opening the wrapper but the pins could be swallowed by animals grazing .

  • This role is massive! High visibility, great value, costs about 10 cents per foot
This role is massive and super heavy! This much thicker gauge electric fence poly braid would be perfect if you have a situation where you need very high visibility electric fencing, for example with horses . I'm going to be setting up an electric fence for my cows to keep them out of certain areas around the house and this type of polywire setup with portable fiberglass step-in posts will work well for my needs instead of putting up permanent or unsightly fencing. The cows don't need much of a deterrent to keep them out of areas but since cows will be cows, they seem to like to eat the things that they're NOT supposed to eat (like my (formerly) beautiful flowering plants or thick Vine ground cover)...as opposed to the eating the many acres of beautiful fresh green grasses and other tasty wild-growing plants on my ranch that they have full access to. LOL. Btw, The mesh type of electric fencing that you unroll , doesn't work well where you have any dense ground cover or grass that's growing, unless you're going to keep it constantly perfectly mode. Any plants that are growing up and touching the mesh will reduce its electrical conductivity and electric fencing effectiveness... so using the single strand polywire method can instead be rigged high enough off the ground where it won't get shorted out like the mesh will. And it's much easier to manage . The mesh type usually gets all tangled up and is a nightmare to deal with as I can attest to having tried to use it one time and that was an exercise in frustration. LOL And with just two levels of single strand poly wire you can put one that's tall enough to keep your livestock animals out (or in) and one that's low enough but high enough off the ground to keep them from ducking underneath the top line of wire. This is a VERY large roll, and very heavy duty. Nice and heavy weight, good construction wire. It's rated at a breaking strength of 900 lbs and is also UV resistant. It has low resistance so it will conduct electricity very well. It should work well for electrical conductivity, resilience and longevity. 660 feet of wire will go a long way for my needs, although if you have a large pasture you'll probably need multiple rolls. Or you can do what I'm planning to do and combine the thicker gauge wire on top with a thinner one below. At the current $67 for the 660 ft roll, this is a great value as well, about 10 cents/foot (btw, the 660 ft length that i got is not currently available but the 1,000 ft length for $100, is the same price point at about 10 cents per foot.) Compared to another role of polywire that I got that is much thinner but 1,312 ft long, I'll probably be using a combination of both thicknesses of wite. For example, I may use the thicker, higher visibility polywire for the top line and then the thinner poly wire for the bottom line. In the attached photo, the 660 ft much thicker gauge roll is the one on the left and the 1,312 Ft roll of thinner gauge wire is on the right. I'm going to be attaching these both to step in fiberglass poles so installation will be quick and easy. And then I can also easily move the fence around without any complicated rewiring or reattaching of wires. Highly recommended and a great value especially if you need this type of much thicker polywire for high visibility applications. ... show more

  • Great value
I'm happy with this fencing so far. I used it to create an inner fence in an existing pasture in order to make a "track" for my horses. I have white ElectroBraid fencing around the perimeter, but I was unable to buy more of the same this year, so I decided to try this GrazeLine polybraid instead. In the attached photo, the white Electrobraid is on the right and the white/yellow/blue GrazeLine is on the left. Despite being different colors, they blend just fine. The GrazeLine rope appears to be well made. I am very fond of the colors used -- yellow and blue are supposedly the most visible colors for horses. The rope came packaged on a sturdy spool and included two connectors, which I found very convenient. I like that the wires are tinned copper -- copper provides excellent conductivity and the coating reduces corrosion risk, allowing you to mix metals at connection points. I'm satisfied with the shock intensity. Overall, this electric rope is a great value for the price. ... show more

  • Works great
Picked this up for my first electric fence project. It works great - easy to cut with wire cutters, hooked it up to my energizer using the included clamps. It feels durable and looks like it will hold up to long term outdoor exposure. The only problem I've encountered is that despite getting zapped, the goat that made me build the fence in the first place is still jumping the fence. But that's clearly a fault in my fence design, not the wire - considering the first time he got zapped, it hit hard enough to make him jump the fence in the first place. ... show more

  • Necessity!
My daughter has horses, I never realized how much damage they can do to fencing. Electric fencing is pretty much a necessity. This is a heavy duty polybraid that should last a good long time. I really like that it has higher visibility as the far end of the pasture is invisible type fencing and the current electric line is hard to see. It has been easy to install. Will be getting more! ... show more

  • Very easy to setup.
I bought this to string a perimeter around my yard to keep my dogs from digging out. I ran it about six inches off the ground and it has worked wonderfully. The thickness of the rope and bright colors has done well to make it visible for animals and humans alike, which has been a plus. The material is very easy to setup and it stays well in the insulators. ... show more

  • Pretty good electric rope
Size: 660 ft
Pretty good electrified rope. Easy to work with. Nice that it's on a wooden roll so it's easy to set up and just pull to do rapid installation. High visibility makes it easy to deter animals before they get close to it (once they know what it does of course).

  • Impressive
I'm a newbie, but my first impressions of this are very good, and the price for this amount of such strong rope seems reasonable. I was curious how well the tiny high-voltage wires would shock when interwoven into fabric, and then I was very impressed when I tried laying asparagus sprouts between a hot line and a return -- quite a violent little smack and spark, I must say! A good start. I do need to get a high-voltage meter, but I guess one newbie concern is how tough the copper strands are, and will they hold up to my two-wire system design, but as yet I have no reason to doubt them other than their size. When I tried splicing together the strands from two pieces of rope, they were not overly compliant staying twisted together, but maybe that resiliency is part of what makes them tough enough to stand the test of time. I would think if I taped up a splice between the six wires, and then tied the rope in a nice strong knot, I would preserve continuity pretty well, but again, I need a good voltage tester. ... show more
