This was not an easy install on my 2007 BMW 328i Convertible (E93). The pump is deeply wedged beneath the engine, and releasing the hoses and reaching the bolts requires a lot of creativity. Once installed, two of the 3 bolts can be properly torqued, but the third has to be done by hand and feel. There's absolutely no way of getting a torque wrench in there. ... show more

Change from the top. Remove the bolts by going in from the front. It is too difficult to do from the bottom despite thinking you can get to the bolts.
