  • The Ride as well as the Price is Excellent!
Color: Black+Orange
I love bikes, e-bikes, trikes, eTrikes... All different kinds. I know the eBike segment is huge and lots of manufacturers are trying to capitalize on the intense crush on eBikes what with the covid and all... Some of those manufacturers are mediocre at best... Some should never make anything and yet others are simply excellent while being reasonably priced. Some are state of the art and the prices are out of this world. This bike is a really good bike, especially for this price point. I was immediately impressed with the packaging the bike arrived in. It was very solid and secure and the bike was in perfect condition inside. The packaging inside was very advanced while not being wasteful. I have to be honest, I've purchased bikes MUCH more expensive and the packaging was a disaster and so were the contents. In this case, the packaging is really excellent and intuitive. The bike itself was almost completely assembled and what wasn't was easy to do. It only took a few minutes to put it together and the battery came 80% charged so I and my buddy test rode the bike under many different conditions... but let me first say, we tested out the top speed first... I know, shocker; two dudes seeing how fast something can go before figuring it all out first. Well, I will tell you, with both a 205 and 248 lbs guy on the bike (Not at the same time, I'm not running a circus here!). The bike went 20 miles per hour without pedaling from a dead stop!!! THAT is impressive for a 350Watt Hub Motor!!!! I will also tell you that everything works perfectly and after adjusting the bike perfectly, this is now my wife's favorite bike! The E function of this bike is really excellent and easy at the same time! Super easy for all levels of bike riders! Now, the appearance of the eBike is really cool and modern! Everyone comments on the bike as being cool and modern! The fit and finish is really pretty good, especially for this price point! The welds are good, and the frame is really strong! The Seat is really comfortable and the shock absorption is good as well. Shifting gears and adjusting the motor speed is super intuitive and the gears could not be easier to use! I especially like the integrated throttle to help you up hills or give you a boost when you are worn out. It is so well disguised on the right grip that I test rode this for quite awhile before realizing it was integrated on the grip!!!! The tires are not a brand I recognize, but they are pretty good, especially for this price point. The components are good, and functioned flawlessly without adjustment, straight out of the box! That is impressive! Several people, most of the friends have ridden the bike and they all want one!!!! Oh, the battery is easy to charge and take on or off and once on, is very secure. Everyone comments on how quickly you can get up and riding! It is really fast and simple! I also wanted to mention, this thing has an integrated headlight and it is pretty cool looking and it is bright!!!!! I didn't realize that when I bought it!!! It is handy too! I mean it is incredible at night but during the day! It really raises visibility effectively. Is it comfortable to ride? Well, several people, of several sizes, women and men.... they all rode the bike and we were all comfortable! Now, lots of people ask about the "range." Well, you have legs that can pedal so as far as you can pedal is one answer, but the reality is, people want to know what longevity to expect on the charge and the only real answer is, "It depends." It depends on rider weight, efficiency in pedaling, terrain, temperature, weather, and the level of air in your tires, condition of the bike in general. Ultimately the battery size and condition as well as the size and power of the motor makes a huge difference in range. Based on my experience thus far, I think a reasonable expectation is 25-40 miles on a charge. You may do less or more... Also, I would say this is a great bike for a casual rider who prefers riding in the city, on improved trails. I don't know that I would ride this on a super challenging trail or track. I just don't think that is the aim of this model. However; I think if you ride this bike to its purpose and you maintain it properly, you will get years of enjoyment from this bike at a really great price! Also, it took only a week for me to get the bike after I ordered it. ... show more

  • So far so good
Color: Black+Orange
For the price this is a really nice ebike. I am nearing 200 miles. Which isn't nothing for this bike. Installation took about 30 min, never assembled a bike before. But was fairly simple. Just follow the directions or there are tutorials on youtube for the same bike. It is kind of small however. I'm 5,11 200lbs. I did replace the stock seat with one on here called rockbros (I think) also bought a Zukka handle bar riser. Made a huge difference (also on here) had a bike shop install the back rack and bag along with the mirror. Lastly a cell phone holder (amazon) The battery seems to last a while. Furthest I've pushed it is 22, maybe 24 miles using electric pedal assist. It still had 3 bars of battery left. Normally stay on mode 2. But level 3 is fun just for cruising. Gets up to 19.8 mph on that one. Been using it without any assist for a regular 5 to 10 miles working through the gears like a normal bike. Then the 5 or 10 miles back I use level 2. It's nice it's there if you need it. Does make some rubbing noises with the front brakes every now and then. Same with weird noises in certain gears. Fit in my 2016 chevy cruze in the trunk but had to take off the front wheel and fold the seat down. So will fit into small sedans. Now have a 4runner and a cheap bike rack from walmart and despite it being 40 or so pounds it's easy to load up and go. Definitely will recommend this but if you're an adult, you really need a handlebar riser and a new seat that's more comfy. ... show more

  • Awesome ebike!
So, I don't normally do reviews, but this is my first ebike, and considering the fact that most ebikes are atleast $1000 or more, I feel inclined to share my opinion with others, who, like me, may be hesitant or skeptical. Don't be. This may be an entry level bike, but if you're entry level, it is well worth your money. I've waited 5 weeks to do this It was delivered April 24th. It's been a month and 4 days, 5 weeks since I got it. It's awesome. I'm 47, and I really haven't ridden any bike since I was 17 and got my driver's license. 30 years. But this thing is fun, and it's brought the kid in me out again I plan to edit this to show some videos and pictures, But, yeah, I highly recommend it. Even if you plan to upgrade to something 'better' in the future, if you're just getting started, this is perfect IDK what else to say right now. It's been pretty awesome for me, and I've had a lot of fun learning about it and how ebikes work $500 something is a good chunk of change, but this is a good thing to spend it on if you want a good ebike at a good price ... show more

  • Warranty is worthless, seller is unhelpful, bike is decent.
Color: Black+Red
The bike itself is pretty good value for the cost. I tend to ride up decently steep hills daily which is one of the reasons I bought this model as it advertised 30 degree climbing. The battery life, speed, and acceleration of the bike were good. It was about $400 when I bought it and it's $280 now. It's probably worth buying as long as you don't depend on the warranty. Consider it disposable after 12 months if you use it daily. It will probably last longer if you use it less frequently. I say consider it disposable as you will either be hard pressed to find the most important replacement parts or they will cost a great deal compared to the bike. I didn't really have any problems with the bike for about 11 months after which the motor started making a grinding noise and stopped outputting power when throttling. The description states a 12 month warranty and Totguard's website states that Fykee is responsible for repairing any defective product free of charge. Upon contacting the seller for warrantied repairs the asked me to contact them via email. They then started providing technical support and wanted me to repair the motor myself. When I requested they have it repaired under the warranty, they said they could offer a $200 discount on any repairs after I have it repaired at a shop. So they have already changed the terms of the warranty. I now have to find my own shop, they would not find or provide a professional repair location, I have to pay up front for repairs, and I will not be reimbursed, but instead provided a $200 re-imbursement on whatever the cost is. When I mentioned the original (and still currently advertised) Totguard warranty, they then offered to reimburse me for repairs after I paid for them myself. I pointed out again that that is not the original warranty terms but they refused any other terms. I asked if there were any services that they have service agreements to provide free of charge warranty service with and they do not. So it seems the warranty terms are completely false. Since it wasn't mentioned, I asked how I would be reimbursed for the repairs, they said it would be a credit to the amazon account. So it wouldn't even be reimbursed in cash or a check, it would be in amazon credit. After searching locally, no local shops will repair this type of e-bike, either due to the type of motor, or a lack of parts availability. I tell this to the seller and ask them if they can send me a replacement wheel and motor hub. They check and they can't get replacement parts. They tell the best they can offer is a $100 refund and graciously allow me to keep my broken bike that can't be fixed. This entire warranty repair process has taken two months with no progress. The seller is incompetent at best and a fraud at worst. ... show more

  • Not bad for the price
Color: Black+Red
For the price, it's hard to beat. The bike was packaged extremely well, I was very impressed, therefore nothing was damaged in shipping. Assembly was pretty straight forward, only took about 30 min and directions are actually half decent. I'm going to list all the negatives that I don't like about the bike, but keep it mind I'm still giving it 4 stars overall because of the price and I am overall satisfied with the purchase. I'll mention a couple pros before I go into the negatives. I love the handle bars and grips, very comfortable. I like the digital display, lots of options to show stats. I just use the odometer and speedometer really, then of course the power meter for the battery lets you know when you're getting low which I've never come close to. Battery life seems really good so far, but we haven't gone on any super long treks quite yet, it's still too cold for that here but hopefully soon. First gripe, the seat that comes with it is horrible uncomfortable. Now, I am a bigger guy but my wife isn't and she felt the same way. Just riding on the bike for 5 minutes and your butt hurts badly, so just plan on having that extra expense of buying a more comfortable seat right away. Next up, with the peddle assist, for about 1 second after you stop peddling it keeps assisting. This is kind of annoying, especially if you want to stop quickly IE a car or animal jumping out in front of you etc. Thirdly, the brakes are not that great at all for being disc brakes. Again, I am a bigger guy so it's going to take a lot to stop me, but even my wife feels they aren't THAT great. Next up, the shifter for the front crankset gears. It doesn't just have a 1-2-3, it's basically kind of like a variable knob, you just have to keep turning it until it's on the gear you want. To get the 2nd gear, you just have to guess somewhere in the middle. Then, on the 1 bike out of the 2 I bought, when you go the entire way on the shifter it actually puts the chain too far up and beyond the gears! I realize that is a simple adjustment, but I've never had a bike with this kind of shifter before, where you just have to kind of guess where to put the knob to be on the right gear. Next gripe, the bike really does max out at 20mph whether your peddling or all electric. You feel like you run out of gear and want to keep shifting up to go faster but you're straight up out of gear very quickly. Lastly, the motor isn't super powerful. I am 6 foot and 300lb, so for me whenever I hit any kind of hill I definitely have to peddle as it doesn't have enough power to go on all electric. I am perfectly fine with that though as I had planned on only using the peddle assist and not just all electric anyway because I do want exercise and to lose weight. My wife is only 135lb and it propels her just fine up the hills on all electric. I would have bought the bigger 500w/48v bike if I was very concerned about this, again I only bought it for the assist not for the full EV part but thought I would mention it for anyone else that's bigger that's looking into this bike for that part. In summary, I wasn't expecting the world for a $420 Ebike, so I am overall satisfied with the purchase. It's serving it's purpose well. It's a solid 4 out of 5 stars because of the price, if it was double the price I would probably be putting it either 2 or 3 out of 5 stars. We bought 2 bikes, so it only charged one of the $90 shipping fee, so we got 2 bikes for just under a thousand dollars after tax. Most Ebikes are over 1k just for 1 bike, so again for the money you really can't beat it. ... show more

  • Good Ebike with Great value
Color: Black+Orange
I was never a bicycle rider because my legs are weak, but now I have a puppy full of energy to burn so I decided to get an Ebike. I order one, like it so much and I order a second one for my partner. the shipping speed is so fast, got it within few days. easy to assemble, makes it easier if you watch the video on the product page. one of my battery pin is having some issue so I contacted the seller, the seller respond promptly to assist me to resolve the issue. There are so many similar ebike within the price range, one of my reason to finally choose this one is because the meter is digital... rather then the real old feeling kind of analog 3 led lights indicator meter. The seat is a little bit hard for me, I am ordering a memory form with Dual Shock Absorbing seat, I think this will help greatly. I enjoy my Totguard Ebike so far, it is just like a bicycle with a little help when I need it to push for my weak legs. my puppy loves running along side. so far so good. ... show more

  • Good beginner ebike
Color: Black+Red
This bike is overall super nice. The price is really affordable (for an ebike that is.) I weight 160LBS and it can still hit 22MPH on flat ground even with an added 50ish LBS. The breaks do squeak, but they work really well. It shifts nice too. I enjoy taking it on the mountain trails near me.
