I bought this ADISTAR 16” electric bike for my teenager to use for school, riding around with friends, and everyday commuting, and it has honestly exceeded my expectations. After looking at a lot of electric bikes for teens and adults, this one stood out because of the long battery range, strong motor, compact size, and overall value for the price. The bike arrived well packaged and assembly was much easier than expected. Most of it was already pre-assembled, so setup was quick and straightforward. My teenager was able to start riding it the same day without any issues. I also really like that the battery is removable, which makes charging much more convenient. The ride quality is excellent. The bike feels stable, smooth, and comfortable even on rough neighborhood roads and sidewalks. The seat is well cushioned, the handlebars feel secure, and the overall frame feels sturdy and durable. It does not feel cheaply made at all. The 1500W peak motor has plenty of power for daily commuting and hills, while still feeling safe and easy to control for younger riders. One of the biggest reasons we chose this electric bike was the battery life, and it definitely delivers. The 48V 15.6Ah battery lasts much longer than expected, even with frequent daily use. My teenager rides it to school, around town, and on longer weekend rides, and we rarely have to recharge it. The long-range performance is impressive and makes this e-bike extremely practical for everyday transportation. I also appreciate the multiple riding modes and adjustable speed options because it allows for a more controlled and comfortable riding experience. The brakes respond well, the tires grip nicely, and overall it feels very safe and reliable. The size is perfect for teens but also works well for adults because of the lightweight compact frame design.     • Missing instructions for speed limit, but great support team to fix it

Got this for my son and he loves it. It did come limited to 15.5 mph and it's not included in the instructions how to change the speed (at least not in an obvious place that we have found). I emailed the support team with the email in the instructions and they did get back to me quickly overnight. I am in the US and it does appear they operate on the other side of the world so they don't reply during the day hours but always reply during night hours for me so it took a couple days of back forth. I sent them pictures of the display and Amy was able to help me figure out how to change it. If yours was limited and you have the same display you have to hold brake and press power button twice and it will change between 25 mph and 45 mph. When it changes to 45 mph it allows the assist to take you 27.9 mph. Overall great quality bike for the price, the bike seems built well and has great battery life. The only thing I would change is having the instructions to change the speed included in the manual. ... show more

I bought this while on April 28, 2026. At first loved it, smaller bike but quick and easy to handle. However, now has E002 error code and I have tried everything to fix it. He can control the speed to his need and paddle if he wanted to get some legs work. Nice street legal bike for my 6th grader to ride around the neighborhood. We had an issue with the throttle not kicking in unless you pedal the bike first, which wasn’t happening at first but started after about a week. Manufacturer sent a new throttle and motor to try.
