TST R9 E-Bike Review – Impressive Range, Great Entry-Level Value, and Respectful Customer Service I've been riding my TST R9 since around September 28, 2026, and I've already put approximately 160 miles on it. As someone getting into the e-bike world, I'm genuinely impressed with what this bike offers for its price. In my opinion, it's a great entry-level e-bike for someone who wants to experience the freedom and convenience of electric riding without spending a fortune. Real-world battery range has been one of my biggest surprises. Riding with the factory speed settings and the standard 20 mph limit, I've confirmed approximately 36 miles of riding on a charge while still having battery remaining. Depending on terrain, riding conditions, pedal-assist level, rider weight, and throttle use, there may be additional range available. For an entry-level bike in this price range, that's impressive in my experience. The bike has also surprised me with its overall capability. I'm a roughly 160-pound rider, and the bike itself weighs approximately 80–100 pounds, depending on accessories. Even with a light gear bag, I've found it useful for everyday errands, longer rides, and getting around town. With the speed limiter unlocked, I've observed speeds around 35 mph under my riding conditions, although I personally prefer the standard 20 mph setting for normal riding. Higher speeds require additional caution and appropriate protective equipment. I also appreciate the availability and reasonable cost of universal replacement parts. Knowing that many components can be replaced or upgraded without necessarily paying premium prices makes owning and maintaining an e-bike less intimidating. For someone learning about e-bike maintenance, that flexibility is a real advantage. One of the biggest positives has been TST's customer service. I've experienced some issues with parts on my bike, and the company has been respectful and willing to work with me toward solutions. No product is guaranteed to arrive perfect every time, but how a company responds when a customer needs help matters. This is my first E-bike, but I am experienced with bicycles. Assembly: Assembly was pretty straightforward. All the tools were in the box. You'll probably want to use your own wrenches and screwdriver, though, as these are very cheap. The Alan keys were decent. The instructions were very clear and detailed. The other components are very sturdy and well made, as was the bicycle itself. It took me about 2 hours to complete assembly. Operating instructions: This is a big negative for the bike. For experienced E-bike people this might not be a big deal, but the controls aren't very intuitive for beginners There are no operating instructions. None. The link for the app was broken for Android. Going to the website didn't help. I finally had to watch a couple of reviews of the bike to figure out how to use the electronics and how to engage the motor. Riding: Overall I am impressed with the bike. The big tires ride very well, and the suspension is adjustable to your taste. The operation of the gears is smooth and the motor is quiet. Throttle response is a little sensitive for my taste, but the motor is powerful. The pedal assist works well and will keep you from slowing down on that one big hill. You do have to watch your balance: The seat is pretty far back and if you are leaning back and hit the throttle, the front wheel will come off of the ground. Battery: The battery is large capacity. I don't know the real life number yet as far as maximum miles per charge, but the top speed is lower than advertised: It is 20 mph. I'll have to wait and see how good the battery life is. Overall: I am very pleased with the bike so far. Everything but the tools seems to be high quality. Will it match up to a $5000 bike? Probably not, but for the money this bike was way better than I expected. Edit: The seat could use more padding!

Easy to assemble, I thought it would have more power, but this has plenty to get you moving quick! I have only had this for a week but i am satisfied so far. The brakes squeak and the front rotor was a little tweaked out of the box but overall a good buy.

I’m very pleased with this e-bike! Assembly was easy and straightforward, and it didn’t take much effort to get it ready to ride. The price was great for what you get, and the bike feels sturdy, well-built, and reliable. It rides smoothly and has plenty of speed for an enjoyable ride without being too much. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, good-quality e-bike. Great value for the money! 🚲 Side Note: My son had an issue with the front brake disc stating it was bent or something….not exactly sure why it wasn’t working for him so he just left it off stating the bike was riding well and he didn’t have a problem stopping it. (I think it was something he done to it because he tried to brush me off to quick… 😂) Well that didn’t sit right with me so for his safety; I reached out to the seller and he answered right away. He sent me a new one at no additional cost without going back and forth with questions. Great customer support 10/10 with this purchase. Thank you

Quality seems good so far. Wasn't to hard to assemble but the instructions are vague and it was trial and error to figure out what bolts they were referring to in the instructions, told me to remove a clip on the caliper in the front but there wasn't one that I could see. Thought I stripped out one of threads for the kickstand because I heard a loud pop when I finally got the bolt loose and thought I saw shaving coming out with the bolt but it seemed to tighten just fine so we will see, also how exactly to place the kickstand was vague. I will add they do include an instructions video but I didn't even notice that until I was done even though it's on the cover of the manual so that's on me. There was no instructions on how to actually turn the bike on and thought I had a dud because I'd press the power button on the battery itself and the charge display would just immediately turn off and had to google how to turn it on and only a random YouTube comment helped me. After I figure that out and gave it a spin it was very smooth ride and plenty of torque so either hit the throttle while already in motion or be ready. My commute is mostly flat but is almost always in the wind and it would bog my escooter down from 18 mph to 12 so if my speed is effected I will update this comment. I love the brown seat but I'd suggest putting the cushions on after you put the actual seat on the bike as a bolt on the frame will make it almost impossible to get enough clearance for the bike to fit correctly into the frame but even after that I had to strong arm the top in place to get enough clearance to get one of the bolts through the holes to hold the seat in place but after I got it it seems solid. Will update my comment if anything changes

Got this ebike for my son for his 14th birthday, he loves it! The bike is quick, the battery life lasts all day, and the bike has held up the time he crashed it. It does well on street, grass and dirt and rain. We live in Idaho so we will see if it also holds up in the snow this winter but I have a feeling it will. The customer service is wonderful with any questions or concerns you have. I would definitely recommend this Ebike to everyone I know. Putting it together was easy enough with the instructions provided. Also enjoyed by 2 people with the extended back seat. 10/10 recommended for all!

Easy to assemble. Problem is the seat height is 33 1/2" tall. I'm a 5'7" adult and my feet don't touch the ground. I see no way to lower it. Pictures show kids sitting on it at rest. This won't be any fun.

Everything was perfect. Small print on installation manual so I had to watch you tube to see if I missed anything. The pedals were the hardest part, I may have cross threaded cause I could tighten without bending a bit.
