I love this bike. When I was young, I biked everywhere, but since then, my knees and hips have gotten a bit arthritic, and I can't bike like I used to. I was told that on an electric bike, I'd feel like my knees were 30 years old again-- and they do! Not 20 years old, mind you, but I really feel the freedom I used to feel biking around when I was young. I know from experience that you buy two things when you buy a bike: a frame, and a set of parts. Funhang may be an off-brand of frame, but it has good safety ratings, and the parts are mostly Shimano, which is an established and reliable maker of bike parts. Any particular part that does not measure up, you can always change, and still have a relatively inexpensive ebike. I am using a different seat and pedals, because I like pedals with grip, and I want a wider seat with shock-absorbing springs and gel padding. The assembly around the motor and derailleur are all done, so there is nothing to screw up that could damage any thing expensive or make the bike unsafe-- and the tires are mounted. It took me less than an hour to assemble mine, albeit, I have assembled bikes before. A few caveats: the tools that come with the bike are not great-- they are sort of throwaway; if you have your own tools, use those. There is no reflector on the back of the carrier, and if it is loaded, the reflector below the seat will be covered, so buy a reflector for the carrier. How to use the bike-- to set pedal assist, and engage the throttle and so forth is not intuitive, and not in the assembly instruction book. However, all you need to know is on the short YouTube videos, the URLs for which Funhang will oblige you with if you ask, and within a short amount of time. They just don't tell you that anywhere. So I'm telling you here. Since they got back to me so fast with instructions, I assume that if you have an actual problem, they are capable of getting back to you quickly then as well; I don't know for sure, though, because my only issue was bemusement. Bear in mind, this is not a motorcycle. You do have to pedal it. It goes pretty slowly if you try just to putter around with the throttle all the time, and is going to run out of power soon. By pedaling, you can more than double the range, and you are actually riding a bicycle. If you don't want to do that, what you need is something like a Vespa. I am very happy with this purchase, would buy it again, and recommend it.

When I started looking for an electric cruiser bike, I wasn’t expecting to find something that felt like it was made just for me—but this Funhang 1000W motor women’s e-bike, with its breezy baby light blue paint job and elegant cruiser shape, surprised me in the best ways. From its comfortable, adjustable seat to the sturdy build and thoughtful features, it’s quickly become a favorite part of my routine. For reference, I’m 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh around 200 pounds, and this bike feels like it fits my frame perfectly. Whether I’m pedaling around the neighborhood, cruising along dedicated bike paths, or riding on trails made of compact dirt, grass, or firm gravel, the bike handles everything with ease. That versatility was important to me, and so far, it’s proven itself every time I head out. Putting the bike together was another win. I’ve bought manual bikes before at a sporting goods store and always ended up paying extra for assembly. Honestly, bike building intimidated me—tools, parts, and instructions that assume you’re already an expert. But this time, everything I needed came right in the box. The manual was clear, the included tools were simple and effective, and there was no moment of panic. I built the entire bike by myself, and instead of feeling overwhelmed, I felt empowered. That small boost in confidence made a big difference. One of the first things I adjusted was the handlebar height. I loved that there were clear indicator lines at the neck of the handlebars, which let me align everything properly without second-guessing myself. Once I had it adjusted my posture while riding immediately improved—no more hunching or stretching uncomfortably. Just a relaxed, upright ride that encourages you to enjoy the journey. When it comes to the actual riding experience, I couldn’t be more pleased. On days when I’m not using the motor, the gears shift smoothly. There are no chain jumps, no slipping off the cog, and definitely no annoying popping sounds that I’ve experienced with lesser bikes. Everything stays in sync, so pedaling under my own power still feels smooth and satisfying. That said, I really enjoy using the electric motor. I switch between the pedal-assist mode and full motor depending on how I feel. On longer rides or when I’m running late, the throttle comes in handy—giving me that little burst of momentum with minimal effort. While the bike offers up to five motor assistance levels, I rarely use speed mode 5. That’s more of a “helmet on, wide-open road” kind of setting for me. For my daily purposes, speed 3 is ideal. It gives me enough zip to do errands around town and make it to appointments without breaking a sweat. The LCD display is another highlight. It’s generously sized and mounted right where I can glance at it quickly without taking my eyes off the road for long. I can track my speed, battery life, and motor mode level without being distracted. It’s reassuring to know I can adjust settings with my left thumb and can check information without compromising safety. There’s a small red switch on the battery that lets me turn the battery on or off independently, and there’s a battery life indicator button available even when the full bike isn’t powered up. That alone makes it easier to plan my rides. Plus, the battery is both removable and lockable, so if I’m parking somewhere for a while, I don’t have to worry about theft. I can just unlock it, bring it inside, and leave the bike outside securely. It’s a little peace of mind that goes a long way. Safety-wise, the powered horn is surprisingly loud and responsive. I don’t have to wave or shout when coming up behind someone—one press of the thumb and I’ve got their attention. It’s subtle but effective, especially in busier areas or shared paths. Storage was another pleasant surprise. The rear rack on this bike is large and sturdy enough to handle my daily carry. I often use a bungee cord to strap down a small lunch cooler or my gym bag, and it rides steady without bouncing around or sliding off. That feature turns this bike from a weekend cruiser into something I can use practically every day. Of course, I have to mention how gorgeous the bike looks. The baby light blue color is soft but striking—just the right amount of charm without being loud or flashy. Paired with the cruiser frame, it has a timeless aesthetic that makes me feel stylish without trying too hard. I’ve even gotten compliments from total strangers at stoplights, asking where I found it. Comfort is at the heart of this design. The seat is cushioned without feeling bulky, and adjusting it was as simple as loosening a latch, sliding it into place, and locking it again. Whether I’m doing a short 15-minute loop or heading out for an hour on trails, the saddle doesn’t leave me sore or shuffling awkwardly afterward. It really feels like the kind of bike you can ride as long as you like without fatigue creeping in too fast. To sum it all up, this cruiser-style e-bike doesn’t just meet expectations—it exceeds them. I really like this bike. It rides well and was easy to put together. My only issue is the auto assist is slow to kick in unlike my other more expensive ebike. However, it rides well, the battery holds a good charge, it goes really fast and the price is well worth the slow auto assist. If my opinion changes I will give an update as I have only had the bike a few days.
