  • Very good for the price
Color: White
Reliable, easy to use. It even comes with an air pump for the tires. The toolkit it comes with is very handy and gave me no complications when assembling. If you're on a budget, this bike is for you.

  • Basic Deterrent
This 5 digit combination cable bike lock is a good value for a decent deterrent. No bike lock is thief proof, this is no exception. If someone wants your item and has the tools and time to cut a lock off, there is no stopping them. With that, this seems to be a pretty thick, durable cable inside a vinyl coating. The 5 digit combo is a good security feature, giving 100,000 possible combinations. That would take weeks to solve testing one combo at a time. The code is VERY simple to reset so no worries if you misplace instructions, and no special tool needed either. You put in the current code, 00000 is the initial default code. Open the lock, and on the end of the combo cylinder is a small dial you turn clockwise to set a new code. That dial is hidden when properly locked. Put the new code in, then turn the dial counter-clockwise to lock in the new code. Now your new code is ready to use. This can only be locked and unlocked when the correct code is used, don't forget to spin the wheel when locking, or you'll leave it unlocked for someone to open without any delay. The overall cable length is about 5ft, giving enough space to get around most secure locking points you may find without a ton of extra length to spare. It can be nice having something a bit longer so you can lock the frame and wheels so easily removable parts are secured as well, but this will at least secure the frame and a single wheel. While you could always wrap it around the bike for storage, I do like the included seat post mount to securely attach the lock and keep it out of the way. Using either a flathead or Philips head screwdriver, you can attach the mount in seconds. All hardware is included, along with a rubber insert for the mount to protect the bike and prevent the mount from sliding. The bike lock has a small extension that slides right into the post mount and clicks into place. Pressing the red button on the mount releases the lock from the mount easily. Over time, this could probably fail or get jammed up, but that won't change the lock functionality. Another point to remember, don't simply leave the lock mounted and run the cable around your bike rack or they'll just remove the lock from the mount and you'll return to find no bike and your still locked cable on the rack. It can be easy to overlook properly locking your item when rushing. As I mentioned, I consider this a great value for a simple, effective lock. ... show more

  • Sturdy Bike Lock, Maybe Not the Securest Though
I was pretty excited to get this bike lock. I have a fancy, schmancy new e-bike and wanted to make sure it's protected. This lock seemed very sturdy and durable right out of the package. It wasn't until I got to fiddling with the lock that I had a bit of a concern. This lock just feels heavy. The lock is a dial that you set. Now, here is where the concern comes in. I had a bit of trouble setting the lock, me problem, but once I set the new combination I couldn't get the lock to go back together. There were instructions, but they were so tiny I could barely read them. Then, I'm not sure they were as clear as they could be. I finally got my husband to take a look. He was able to get it put back together by going back to the original starting point on the combination. So here's my problem, if anyone is familiar with that lock, or locks in general really, you know what most default combinations are when you first get a lock. If putting the lock back to the original numbers, which you have to do to change it under any circumstances, is how you change it what keeps anyone from coming up and changing your lock? Maybe I still don't understand the concept, but that's how it seemed to both my husband and myself. The apparatus to attach the lock to the bike is very flimsy. The lock is sturdy, but that piece not so much. I'm glad to have this lock, but I'm not sure it will keep my bike safe in all circumstances. I think in city or higher traffic areas this lock is probably not the way to go. I'll use it for safer areas but I think I'll need something more secure and substantial for extended use in more varied areas. ... show more

  • Layered Security, Not a Fortress
Running a multi-property bike fleet means I've dealt with more theft attempts than I care to count, and none have been successful, so I take security seriously enough to know one lock rarely tells the whole story. This five-digit cable unit earns its place as a critical layer in that defense system. The combination offers 100,000 possibilities, which is enough to discourage casual snooping, and the reset mechanism is simple... no tools required, no card lost under the seat. The included mount clips cleanly to the frame, keeping the lock accessible without dangling in the spokes, and the vinyl-coated cable protects the rim of the bike from scratches while offering the flexibility needed to loop through racks. For the price, you get a solid deterrent that integrates smoothly into daily riding without becoming dead weight in a bag. Honest strategy note... the cable is flexible and cuts easily compared to hardened steel shackles, and I recommend treating it exactly as a secondary barrier rather than the sole line of defense. A determined thief with bolt cutters will beat it, but the goal here isn't invulnerability... it's irritation. Every extra second and tool requirement adds risk to the crime, which makes them move on to the next target. Pair this with a primary lock on the frame, and the cable secures the wheel, doubling the work without doubling the bulk. Five stars for doing exactly what it promises when used correctly within a broader plan, and a vital piece of the puzzle for anyone who values their transportation. ... show more

  • Decent Combo Bike Lock. Appreciate the 5-Number Combo
This is a nice, 5-digit combo lock. This should act as a decent deterrent against theft. 5-digit combination: Most combination locks are either 3 or 4 digits. With 5 digits, it makes this lock 10 times as difficult to guess versus the 4-digit locks; 100 times more difficult than 3-digit. As with most locks in this range of security, this lock is simply a deterrent. A motivated thief will eventually be able to defeat this lock, like most locks in this range, by cutting through the cable. The cable has decent thickness but not impenetrable. But it is more than enough to make it a challenge for those would-be thieves. The lock itself is easy to use and comes with a bike mount to carry around the lock on the frame. A little warning... not sure how well the lock mount will stand up to repeated cyclical loads (think hard bumps on a tough, off road trail) as it is plastic. I'd recommend only using the bike mount, while on smooth, level roads. But it's definitely a nice to have so you don't have to tuck the lock away in a backpack, while riding. The cable is coiled pretty tight, which makes it very compact, while stored away. But the cable isn't too long, either. Their description states 150cm, which is about 59 inches or a little under 5 feet. With the coiled memory of the cable, you'll be fighting a bit to use the full length. Your usable range will depend on how thick your secure point is. I'm guessing probably something 1.5 - 2 feet away, in most cases. So you'll want to make sure to try and secure your bike, etc. as close as possible to your secure point and wrap around as much of your bike as possible. Overall, a decent bike lock with added security due to the 5-digit combination. Recommend. ... show more

  • Convenient keyless bike lock
This is a simple and convenient bike lock for everyday use. I like the 5-digit combination because I don’t have to carry a key or worry about losing one. Setting a personal combination is straightforward, and having thousands of possible combinations gives some added peace of mind. The flexible cable makes it easy to secure the bike to a rack, post, or other fixed object, and the protective coating is a nice touch to help prevent scratches. It’s also compact enough to carry along without being too bulky. Overall, a good everyday lock for bikes, scooters, and similar equipment. It’s easy to use, easy to carry, and the keyless combination design makes it very convenient. ... show more

  • Good quality
This is a decent bike lock. The rope itself seems thick and sturdy, and is covered in plastic to help keep it from rusting, plus add an extra layer of deterrence. It's coiled pretty tightly, so that helps it to be fairly compact when tucked against your bike frame. It does come with a mount so that you can easily and properly mount it, as opposed to the old school way of wrapping a wound one like this around the frame somewhere to carry it. The code was super easy to set. I do appreciate that it's 5 digits instead of 4. Of course, that makes it much harder to guess. I love not having a key - I've had kids lose lock keys several times, which puts you in a major pickle. The lock opens really easily and smoothly when you put in the right code. When the code is wrong, trying to pull it open meets with firm resistance, so it does feel strong. The number dials are plastic, plus it's a little shorter than anticipated (mostly because the coil forces it to want to curl, so stretching it out to maximize the length is difficult), so I took off a star for those. A thief could most definitely smash the dials, but I'm sure the lock underneath is metal. It just makes me wonder how easily a thief could get at this due to the plastic number dials. One thing to note: I am trying to lock up some Jetson Bolt Pro bikes. The head of this lock is pretty thick, so I was unable to thread it through any of the spaces in the main frame that are meant for locks. I got it into a position that still works, but be sure that your bike has sufficient room - I'd say a gap greater than 1.5" or so, to thread this through. Overall a good bike lock, and sufficient for my needs. ... show more

  • Exceptional quality at an unbeatable price
Don't let the low price tag or the lack of a listing photo fool you. This bike lock and cable set is an incredible find. I was initially hesitant given how far below competitive products it is priced, but the build quality, structural workmanship, sleek finish, and materials used are completely top-notch. It easily matches, and in some cases exceeds, similar heavy-duty locks I've purchased in the past for much higher prices. If you're looking for reliable security without overpaying, don't let the sparse listing confuse you. Highly recommended! ... show more
