Neat bike. I'm still learning my way around it but I'm having fun doing it. I wasn't quite ready to spend several grand on an ebike to replace my road bike (like some of my friends). But I wanted one for the days I didn't feel like all the peddling and a Fat Tire Bike gave me other play options (I'm over 75 so I don't play too hard anymore). I still get a good workout on this thing but if I go out too hard, I let the bike do the work coming home. I've learned not to change mode while peddling and if I've gone above 1 (I start out at 0 assist) be ready when I take the first peddle stroke after stopping. It really launches you through an intersection. But like I said I'm having a ball learning how to sue it. ... show more

We got two of these and did a side by side assembly. In hindsight, we wished we’d done one at a time as when we made a mistake, we had to correct it twice!     • Don’t buy!!!Quit working and no customer support
The bike was wonderful. Liked everything about it and then 3 weeks ago it just quit. I had ridden it about a dozen times. Have gone to Sohamo website and contacted them via email and multiple voice mails. No response. It is supposed to have a one year warranty but no one responds. I will now try ordering replacement digital display and controller and replace those but fear I will be throwing more money away. But don’t want to spend another $800 on a new bike. ... show more

    • Handle bars
Love the bike!! Make sure to secure the handle bars (my previous bike came with handle bars assembled). I noticed the bars would jiggle loose no matter how much I tightened them…they ended up twisting free during a ride causing me to face plant…I got some lock tight for the bolt and haven’t wrecked since….be careful!!! ... show more

    • A bit disappointing
I’m surprised nobody else has brought this up but if you fold it and the pedal isn’t perfectly aligned at about 40 degrees (right forward, left back) the apparatus gets jammed and stuck, digging into the frame. It isn’t too stable when folded, either, I had to cushion it with a bunch of items for a smooth ride in the back of my car. Also, suspension isn’t great. Very good looking bike with decent battery life so far, though I don’t like that the motor isn’t toggle.. perhaps all pedal-assist e-bikes feel this way but it feels so jerky, like the motor is a light switch turning on and off.. not a smooth ride. ... show more

I like the ease it was to put together, the smoothness of the ride and its power to excel quickly if needed. It's a great bike and worth the cost.

Good bike. 28mph as advertisement. It is really amazing. in many cities especially small town, it works similar as a car in speed. For me, I can even use such ebikes to carry my folding furniture last time. Its motor is really perfect and can carry heavy staffs. In addition, such an e-bike has advantages a car does not have. For example, as a student who also have a car to travel from home to the building you need to go, at least for me, If you drive your car, you probably would face 3 situations: 1.the parking lot you need to pay. the better the location of parking lot, the higher the fee 2.for many school, parking lot in best location reserved to professors or staff only 3.for cheaper parking lots on campus, perhaps you need to travel with bus for 2 steps to the building you need. But with such bike, no worry of this. Besides, I have no chance to let the police give me ticket for an e-bike. I no need to pay car insurance if I choose this bike. Electricity also means, no worry about the petroleum evaporates on its own. Just like electric cars, electricity is a better resource than petroleum and gas for the environment. It is a new choice in USA, but in Asia e-bikes are very common. The feeling of driving e-bike and enjoy the breeze is different from the feeling of sitting in a car. YOU DERSEVE to try it. Last but not least, The seller is very suggestive. When you have concerns, he is really helpful and glad to answer you. They like to communicate with you. I used 2 phone call to call the custmoer service. When they find they missed your call, I saw they call back and message back for both two numbers I used. ... show more
