I have purchased it for my old car. It was super easy to install. I set up the fm range to my car radio and used the fm transmitter to pair. now I can automatically play everything from my phone. Super fast pairing once I start the car. Also resolution is the better than i expected.

I bought this to install in my grandmothers older car. All of the options worked perfectly. Tried it with iPhone and android. Apple CarPlay apps worked well. The local stations came through clear. It stayed put on the dash and the wires were easy to hide. I’d say this is a great option if you don’t want to change the factory equipment.

The Apple CarPlay works just like one in a newer model car which is great. The issue I have is with the audio, the speakers in the device is no louder than my phone. The bigger problem though is when is use the auxiliary cable to use my car system it’s still not very loud. I listen to radio on about 20 volume and when I am using this I have it max volume at 38 and it’s barely loud enough hear without straining over the road noise on the interstate. There’s also no way to connect it to my cars Bluetooth that I’ve found so that’s a bummer too. Disappointing because it’s a great unit if they just made the audio a little louder.

My biggest complaint about my car is that 1) It didn't come with any capability for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay and 2) because of the way the radio, cameras, disc player, and passenger headphones are integrated with the displays in the car, the stereo can't be upgraded. Then I found this baby. Wireless Android Auto and CarPlay out of the box. It's SUPER easy to set up - easier than some rental cars I've added my phone to. The screen is a good size - not too small and not a monster. It starts up really fast and my phone connects real quick, too. Very happy I made this purchase.
