This is a perfect Halloween decor and I love watching it. It is attractive looking and has very effective characters and motion. It is also very hypnotic and relaxing to watch in operation (much like a lava light in that respect), with characters moving through a colorful, spooky looking and glitter filled liquid. A little pricey but it has a solid, well built feel. A problem I have with it now and for which I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it has a pump which continuously cycles on for about 8 seconds then off for 8 seconds. Its purpose is to keep the liquid swirling for the visual effect and so that the characters (ghosts and bats) keep moving. The pump wasn't bad initially but it has gotten quite noisy over the few weeks that it has been used (I run it about 4-5 hours each day). It's noisy enough now that it can be heard over the TV or normal conversation. It does use batteries more quickly than I would like (it takes 3 AA batteries). Once the batteries start to lose some power, the pump slows down and the characters either move more slowly or stop completely until the batteries are replaced. It should have an option for powering it with a low voltage wall current adapter as some other devices of this type do. Another option is to do what I have now just started doing, which is to use rechargeable AA batteries. Keep 3 in the device and another 3 charged at all times and just rotate 3 in and 3 out as needed. Update: I am now convinced that mine (purple one with ghosts) is defective. After 3 weeks of use, 4-5 hours per day, the pump has gotten too noisy to use and the characters just keep stopping, even with fresh batteries. That is probably the reason it has used batteries so quickly. Sadly, I can no longer use and enjoy it but it is outside Amazon's return window. I have dropped my rating down to 1 star from 4 stars because of this. This a further update on 10/26/19. The manufacturer shipped me a new device to replace the old one which developed the problems. The new one seems to be working much better and is much quieter. I am glad to have it since I enjoy looking at it so much. I raised my review back up to 3 stars based on the manufacturer's customer service quick response and the fact that the new one is now working. I didn't raise it all the way up to the 4 star level I have previously rated it because there may be a reliability issue with these based upon my experience and that of several other reviewers on here. If the new one lasts a lot longer than my previous one did, I will feel comfortable in raising the stars back up to the 4 stars I originally rated it or maybe even to 5 stars. Update on 11/24/19 The replacement Halloween candle kept working throughout the season. I was comfortable enough with it to go ahead and purchase the Christmas snowman version of the candle. The new Christmas candle is awesome to look at.

I bought 2 of these at once and so glad I did. They are beautiful and great quality. Several other family members purchased them after seeing mine. Very bright and the battery life is phenomenal. Had them on nearly every night for a month about 4 hrs a night and never had to change the batteries

I bought two of these Halloween glitter candles, and I'm just so delighted with both purchases. I got the green one with the spiders, and loved it so much that I bought the blue one with the ghosts and bats. These are great additions to our home Halloween decorations, they look great on the mantle of our fireplace. After seeing reviews claiming the batteries need frequent replacement, I'd just like to say that we've used both alkaline and rechargeable AA batteries, and so far, we have no complaints about the batteries not lasting long enough. Last but not least, a big shout out to the company for providing such secure packaging for these. They both arrived in perfect condition.😊

Update: Providing an update on this product. The timer did actually work, the issue is that they labeled the ON and TIMER functions backwards. I set it to always on, and it shut off after 6 hours. I can confirm it was backwards as I now have the other two colors for Halloween and those are labeled properly. Some QA issues for sure, but it does work as advertised. Also note that some of these can be brighter than others and some tend to start making an audible noise when running. ————- I like the design of the candle and it’s beautiful when it’s working. The 8 second fan on/off works. However, the timer does not work at all and that’s a deal breaker. I will probably be returning this. I’m also a little disappointed that the cord running down the candle was glued into position right beside the picture of the house/castle and I can’t move it. But the biggest flaw is it’s marketed with a timer and it simply doesn’t work.

It was a gift. It filters all the time when it's on the color of the glitter is beautiful. It is battery operated...dbl A 3 batteries. It's easy and it does flow inside...the glitter never stopped moving. It's not too bright and very sharp clarity.

I am always on the lookout for something new and different for Halloween. I don’t have a lot of room for decorations, so I try for something different or unusual. This light is very attractive seems to be very well made and works beautifully. It’s not real big, but it really sets off the spot where I have it. It is battery powered and has a built-in timer. My light comes on at about 6 PM and is off by midnight. I don’t have to do anything except to replace the batteries occasionally.
