I got this because I'm a rafting guide and occasionally I get a bit of tendonitis in my elbow from all the rowing and paddling. I was looking for something that would help to recover a bit at night. Build quality seems fine, there is a stretchy inner liner, and the velcro attachments snug down nice and tight and seem to stay put fine. It fits either arm. I'd say this is a good elbow brace if you're looking to keep your elbow pretty much straight. If you're just looking for good compression look at some of the other offerings, but this brace will certainly encourage you to keep the arm straight. There are removable aluminum stays that I found work very well, once it's on I couldn't scratch my nose, and if I tried to move my elbow much they tend to dig in a bit. For my usage I think I'll probably use it without the stays as I was looking for more of a support and compression rather than immobilization.

Thos TISMOD elbow brace with stints has been extremely helpful with keeping my elbow stasis whilst sleeping to aide my tennis elbow from undue strain. The stints are highly rigid, making this brace a part-time use device (it'd be difficult to work or play sports while wearing). With that said, I highly recommend this TISMOD elbow brace with stints be added to your first aid kit as it really does allow your elbow to become immobile until such a time as you could seek medical attention. OR: it's perfect for such as what I'm using it for in order to abate any aggravation to the injury site. 5 Stars!

This brace has two metal bars, they are in its own pocket, on opposite side. Position the bar at the tip of the elbow, and the other on the other side. Loosely tighten the middle strap first, then the other two straps, and finally retighten the middle strap if necessary. I do like the fact that you can remove the metal bars if needed. I wear this during sleep, it keeps my arm straight. During the day, I uses it without the metal strap, so I can flex my arm. I put a fat glue stick in-between the brace and my arm and tighten it, to stipulate the carpal tunnel muscles when I do circles with my hand. It’s a mini massage without having to use my other hand.

Needed an elbow splint for sleep. Years ago I started sleeping with my elbow out straight, while lying on my side, using a pillow to weigh it down to keep from moving. I had tennis elbow from sewing a lot, and my elbow hurt, so I started trying to keep it out straight, not bent. At night I would weigh it down as best I could, but by morning, I'd find myself all curled up. It did a make a difference over the long run, but this brace has 2 metal strips that fit into a sleeve to keep you from bending your elbow (take them out and it is more flexible, or using as support while more active, or exercising). This helps, even if you dont use it every night, it will make a big difference in tennis elbow, since I dont have it anymore, and I still sew a lot.

I was having trouble sleeping at night due to elbow pain. This brace kept my elbow stabilized during the night, aiding in the relief of pain that was waking me up. It is pretty stiff so if that is something that you need this is a good product.

While this brace is designed for nighttime immobility, it's actually really good as a daytime brace too! There are 2 metal plates in this brace that are held in pockets closed with velcro covers so they don't slide around or out. The material is a really good quality, sturdy and durable. It will probably last through a lot of use and abuse. There's an inner sleeve that protects your arm from any irritation from seams or velcro. When the metal plates are in, it holds your elbow immobile, which is good for sleeping. If you take the plates out, though, it provides nice support all around the elbow for daytime support of elbow aches and pains and injuries. It worked really well during a long bike ride without moving or losing support.

My mom has a torn ligament in her arm that causes swelling and pain. Insurance is slow to approve treatment and this brace helps her keep the elbow immobilized to limit movement in her arm. She tried a pressure sleeve but it was too tight when the arm swelled. This brace lets her use the metal strips for less movement or take them out for lighter support. Great for many kinds of injuries.
