This ship in a bottle set is a really cool take on the original LEGO ship in a bottle. The leviathan tentacles wrapping around the bottle, as well as the included light kit take this to a whole other level. The brick quality is not up to par with LEGO, but they are close, and for the money, it is an excellent value.

For the amount of pieces that you get in this set, and because of the consistent quality of said pieces, this set is an absolute bargain. Very comparable in quality to the Lego ship in a bottle which is now a retired set and no longer available at the original retail price. It is however different enough that it stands out well on its own merit. The instructions are simple enough to follow which can typically be iffy on these non-main branded sets. The pieces are also well organized coming in numbered bags so that you aren't forced to dump a mammoth pile of greater than 1000 pieces onto your table to sort through. The pieces lock together well and the finished model is very interesting. Love the added detail of the tentacle. Would make a great gift for the nautical or Lego (or both) enthusiast in your life!

I loved the idea of this from the start. Sadly in the end, it was fun to do with my son but for the price, it had too many cons for me. First the instructions at times had me a little confused at first but as I figured it out it got easier. The thing looks great and does what it’s supposed to. First complaint I had was there was an inset talking about using replacment pieces for pieces that didn’t work right. That’s great except I had no such pieces to swap out and the pieces that mattered were at the end of the build which made it heart wrenching. I was able to rig it up and work but at this price point I shouldn’t have to do that. I LOVE that this thing lights up. Sadly the execution for this was second rate in my opinion. There was nothing to make it clean and orderly. I took apart the box and hid most the wires inside of it. It would have been nice if it had been thought out and attached to the base some way. Again at the price point I just expected better. This is the cost of name branded block kits but at budget quality. If they drop their prices I’d like to consider one of their other kits like the Titanic one.

wish my pics were better(to much glare). this was fun to do. easy build overall, instructions were clear. all pieces fit together nicely. few pieces fit loose but not so loose that they would fall off. pieces have nice clean edges. led lights are included with great instructions as to how and where to place them. i did have 1 led strip with 1 led that did not work, however an extra strip is included so not an issue. overall great project to build. fun for adults and kids alike. recommend - absolutely. enjoyed it and i hope you will as well.
