Great bed, and definitely waterproof! Immediately upon giving to my pups, one decided to pee on it. To my great surprise and relief no liquid went through the covering to the foam mattress, and the covering was extremely easy to wash and dry on the delicate cycle. My dogs love this bed. I bought the extra large so both of them can lay on it together, and it’s perfect. One of my dogs has arthritis, so the egg crate foam gives her better support and makes me feel better knowing she’s more comfortable. Getting the foam into the cover took a little effort, but once it’s in, the bed fits well and the zipper works great. The bed also seems much sturdier than others I’ve bought. My dogs have torn open past beds and pulled out the cotton batting, but this one feels much more durable. Even if they managed to tear it, the egg crate foam wouldn’t be as easy to pull apart. Excellent size and quality ! Our little 5 lb yorkie sleeps next to our big GS at night too! It is very big and comfortable with the egg carton foam on top and the memory foam on the bottom. This is a very good quality bed for both of my dogs. One is a senior with arthritis. She settles into the bed and looks so happy. I think the padding is just right. I also love that the cover is washable and water proof. Overall great buy!
