If you own anything that uses EGO Power, you need a backup battery. We can now mow our lawn without fear of the battery going on us. This gives us enough of a charge to complete the job with a bit of a charge left. Holds a full charge, is reasonably priced for a battery of this type and makes my mowing experience stress free. If I forget to charge the original battery before I mow next, I now how it taken care of and I am not spending money on gas and oil. ... show more

The battery works as intended but the longevity is questionable. The first 5.0 amp stopped working after 2 years. Fortunately is was under warranty. If it was not than 300 dollars hurts because there is no guarantee how long the battery will last. The upside is the 3 year warranty. If it were not for that than I would invest in a good gas trimmer. If the tool it is being used with is going full speed the battery will not last long. The blower especially. The trimmer on low will make the battery last longer. I would hate to have to buy a battery for the mower. Break the bank. ... show more

The battery is ok. Its better than the other electric lawn mower I have. BUT, it takes longer to recharge than it does to use. Which leaves you with a forced break after the 2nd battery is out of power.

Obviously, the bigger and more powerful the battery, the heavier it's gonna wear out your back when weed whacking - but that goes without saying. More power, longer battery sustain, super quick charger I also bought is good, but for anyone with back trouble..maybe stick to a less beefy batter is all. Still 4 or 5 stars though. ... show more
