I ordered the mini bike without the batteries and charger. I was able to find two 10AH batteries, and a charger, for way less than what they charge for their two 7.5AH batteries and charger. It was shipped in a steel cage, to protect it. All I needed to do was put on the handle-bar and display-panel. When you turn on the key-switch, it flashes "ready" on the screen, but it isn't ready, until you press the ready switch, and then "ready" stops flashing. Not very intuitive. I didn't enable the "sport mode", since the normal mode is fast-enough (18 MPH) for me. I got it to get around on my property, so not being street-legal isn't a concern. There was some problem with shipping that caused a two-month delay. Amazon's representative was able to get them to ship it. Love the bike! It looks great too! ... show more

This bike is more fun than it has any business being! First thing I noticed was the absolutely amazing build quality. We’ve collected and ridden mini bikes for many years and this is in a league of its own! I’m 39yrs old and 210lbs and when I sat down on this thing, I hear my back say “thank you”. Suspension is perfect for my weight and the seat is soft! The brakes feel like the brakes on my full size dirt bike. Sure, the power isn’t going to blow you away, it wasn’t designed to. This is the perfect machine to cruise around the neighborhood or property and explore. I already had 6 12Ah batteries from my Ego Zero turn so I opted for this “tool only” version. If you’re on the fence and you happen to already have a few EGO batteries laying around, stop thinking and just buy it. You’ll be happy. If you don’t have batteries already, buy the version that comes with batteries because you’ll get a charger and the correct batteries off the bat. If you try to use the smaller batteries (less than 7.5ah), you’re going to be frustrated with the power and range. I’ve noticed some people have left negative reviews and they’re pretty ridiculous. Those reviews do not reflect the product and shouldn’t be considered in your purchase decision. It’s likely not street legal in your area. It wasn’t designed to be. Changing the rear tire is no more difficult than any other motorcycle this size. Batteries are expensive, for sure. They’re expensive everywhere. But you’ll not get batteries as high quality as EGO with other Chinese bikes and scooters. Trust me, I’ve beat these EGO batteries to death and they just keep going! The EGO batteries are worth every penny, especially if you have multiple tools. So, stop thinking and start buying! You won’t regret it. ... show more

I bought the version without batteries as I already have six 10Ah batteries from a zero turn mower purchase. Three stars because it has very little torque. It struggles up hills. In rough grass, it often won't go more than walking speed up a slight incline. From a dead stop on a steeper incline, it needs a push. Most electric vehicles are known for their low end torque. Not this one. I do approach the max suggested weight for the bike. I'm sure it would do better with a pre-teen or similarly light person. Positives: The top speed really is 28mph in sport mode (although you may need a slight decline to see this). Warning: you need to read the manual as sport mode is disabled by default. You have to remove the seat to access a hidden switch. The headlight is nice Reverse gear is nice Assembly was easy - just bolt on the instrument cluster and the handle bars (then remove the seat to enable sport mode). Disassembling the shipping frame took more time than assembling the bike. I approve of the way it is packaged for shipping. ... show more

The mini bike is very quiet during operation. I found the scooter draws a lot of voltage during operation and you should have a third battery for emergencies. You can run on one battery if you deplete the charges on the original batteries. This scooter rides great, but is limited on the distance you can travel. Great for new riders or if you have property or a compound with family living close by and don't want to walk. Not a race bike but plenty of fun, fast enough to get hurt it also has better suspention than the green works bike which will save your back. Fun little bike. I haven't turned sport mode on yet. opted to get the bike sans batteries and upgraded to 2 12.5 AH batteries at a very small cost increase. packaging was good and very minimal build

I am shocked at the value. I am no stranger to electric dirt bikes - I own a zero motorcycle and an electric husqvarna. This is a great size for older kids (probably 13 & up) and is even fine for adults, although a little bit on the smaller side. If you already have Ego batteries (which I already have 5 for lawnmower, snowblower, other tools) then this little bike is an incredible value. It is totally silent. I would recommend purchasing without the batteries and buying two 12ah batteries separately instead of the two 7.5ah that optionally come with the bike.
