The bottom refill hole is the main reason I bought this over other models, and it didn't disappoint. Adding water without lifting the lid means the temperature and humidity stay rock solid — I never saw a dip after refilling. I used the included squeeze bottle and it was completely mess-free, no spills at all. Humidity stayed right around 50-55% for the first 18 days, then I bumped it up for lockdown. Hatched 5 healthy ducklings from 6 eggs. The one that didn't hatch was a dud, not the incubator's fault.

Being able to watch the chicks without opening the lid was a total game changer for me. With my old incubator I'd lose heat and humidity every time I lifted the lid to check, and I know that cost me some hatches. The window on this one is big and clear enough to see everything inside — we even candled the eggs by shining a light through it. My kids were glued to it for the last three days, watching the chicks pip and zip around. So worth every penny.

I specifically bought this because of the bottom water refill hole, and it's the best design feature ever. On my old incubator I had to lift the lid every time I added water, which dropped the temp 3-4 degrees and messed with humidity. With this one, you just squeeze water in through the bottom hole using the included bottle — lid stays on, temp and humidity never budge. I've been refilling daily for 14 days and haven't seen a single dip.
