Size: MAX 72 EGGS
Here is my review on this incubator. It is a lot like a very well-known expensive brand of incubator. In fact, I actually believe they may have been made in the same factory. The layout is so similar, as is the design. However, it has enough differences that you can say it is not the same product. It is much bigger. It holds 72 chicken eggs. I am a breeder of Black Copper Marans, which are traditionally difficult to hatch. Things I like about this that are similar to the other brand: It has a clear dome lid. You can see inside of it. It is double-domed, protecting the heating element and inner workings. This allows for proper air-flow and separation of the drops of water from the humidity control unit. It allows the fan ample ccirculation, and an even flow. Four heating elements allows equal, ample, heating. The base is sturdy. The look is appealing. There's a little chicken on one side, and a little duck or Goose on the other. It is nice dark green, sturdy and pretty. This incubator has a control panel which is almost identical to the other, but is different enough again, that it is not the same. I don't believe it has the same motherboard, but it may have very similar firmware. It has two vent holes. That allows ample air for forming larger air sacs inside of the egg shells. This incubator has complete humidity control. You do have to set it up. You will have to take the entire top off to do it, but if you watch my video on YouTube you will figure out how to do that. There is a more thorough video on youtube. All in all, this is a great product and it's very sturdy. It works fantastic. I have hatched two batches out of it with no issues. KNOWN ISSUE: The incubator comes with a turner motor that sounds like it is struggling. It isn't. It isn't the motor. I caled it a Turner Insufficiency Issue. However: This issue isn't as bad as it sounds. It has turned out to be is that the bar that runs along the top slider to turn the eggs is made too thick at the base. It has trouble sliding through the slots. This gives the motor a hard time turning the slider. It has to pull against its own weight. I took a scissors and turned it sideways and skinned the bottom of it and they work fine. It is completely fixable. The second issue really isn't an issue. Somebody in these reviews stated that the egg baskets are too thin and they said that they couldn't fit nine eggs in it. Well that's not accurate. I have good sized eggs that fit just fine. I do feel like the manufacturer could have made them a tiny hair whiter. Maybe a millimeter wider each would have made a major difference. However, it fit nine regular eggs and 10 medium eggs. This tells me that that person has really big eggs probably. Mine worked fine. All in all I believe this is a very good machine. I hatch a lot of chicks! I've done this over 50 years and I've been using incubators since clear back in the days of cabinet incubators and when we didn't have anything but a light bulb in a wooden box. It works great. I had a nice high hatch rate and I had no serious issue with humidity except- I live in a dry place and so I have had to up my dry hatch humidity to 40% to prevent shrink-wrapping. The price is great. Price is much more affordable for the average household and it's really easy to use. The box and packaging is really well done. The more expensive brand arrived with a box which was just put together with cardboard inside of it to hold the unit and I got two units with broken lids. They were cracked in all the corners. This one didn't arrive like that and was very stable. I actually really like this machine and I do wish I could afford a few more. Pretty great large size incubator. We've used it to hatch 17 eggs so far, so 72 spots is a whole lot. So far every egg we've put in has hatched, so that's pretty good I'd say. My biggest complaint is that the peristaltic pump diagram is hard to understand. Its not quite like the one other pump I've used. Otherwise once you figure it out it's pretty easy. Set it it and forget it basically. The lid is a heavy duty plastic, so it should hold up. Visibility is perfect through it, until it gets too humid at least. The control for that helps not a lot. Speaking of controls, this has a good bit of controls and options to go through to set it up perfectly as you need. Cleanup was easier than our old circular one. After hatching we just took out each tray and washed like normal. If you have hard water you might want to get some vinegar to clean off the spots on the see through areas and the catch tray screens. Overall not bad, price went down quite a bit since I got it so Definitely worth the price now.

Nice durable incubator. Firstly the automatic humidity control feature is amazing. No more playing with vents and valves to try to get it perfect the machine does it for you. That in and of itself makes it worth it! Everything has worked flawlessly so far. The eggs have been rotating automatically, temprature and humidity has stayed at the right levels. I have a few other incubators and this one is by far my favorite. Its very easy to use and set up and you will be hatching chicks in no time!

I've been using various incubators over the years for hatching poultry eggs, and this 72-egg capacity model with automatic turning and humidity control caught my eye for its features and price point. It includes a built-in candler, which is handy for checking development without disturbing the setup, and the automatic egg turner rocks the eggs gently every couple of hours— a nice convenience over manual turning. The incubator has solid temperature stability once dialed in, and the humidity control works reasonably well with the external water addition system, helping maintain the levels needed during different incubation stages. It does run through a LOT of water. I was refilling the water bottle 3 - 4 times a day so I bagged it and switched to a big gulp cup. The fan circulation keeps things even, and the clear viewing area lets you monitor progress easily. The built-in candler is a pretty standard addition for spot-checking fertility or development mid-cycle. That said, the "72 egg" label is a bit misleading if you're planning on standard large chicken eggs. The trays are designed with narrower slots and spacing that work perfectly for smaller eggs like quail, pigeon, or some small chicken varieties, but many regular chicken eggs—especially larger or jumbo ones—simply don't fit comfortably without forcing them. I couldn't get all my standard chicken eggs loaded properly - I only got 60 in - and goose eggs (even the smaller ones) were a complete no-go in the trays. If your goal is hatching full-sized chicken or waterfowl eggs, you'll need to find a different incubator, maybe closer to half capacity or less depending on egg size. I'm midway through my first batch now, and so far the mechanics seem promising—the gentle rocking motion and airflow through the tray holes look like they'll support good development. I'm curious to see what the final hatch rate turns out to be once lockdown hits. For folks focused on quail or smaller breeds in larger quantities, this could be a solid, feature-packed option with good value. For standard chicken eggs or anything bigger, though, I'd suggest double-checking dimensions against your egg sizes or looking for a model with more adjustable or wider trays to avoid disappointment. It's got potential, but the capacity claim needs that important caveat for realistic expectations.

I just got this the other day, so I obviously haven’t had enough time to hatch anything, but upon the initial check, I'm mightily impressed with this incubator. The amount of eggs this thing holds is insane. And it’s got all the bells and whistles you need to dramatically increase your chances of successfully hatching tons of birds. I was especially interested in the candling feature. None of my other incubators have that. To be honest, none of them have the level of control with the humidifier and they sure don’t mention that they’re BPA free. I’m extremely happy with this incubator and am very much looking forward to putting it through its paces in the very near future. If this works out as well as I think it will, I’ll definitely be looking at more Heninhill Chick’s products.
