  • You will love it after replacing the anti slip pad
Easy to assemble and well built. But the thin grip pad on the bracket that clamps down on the desk is too thin. I replaced it with 3-M grip pads and it locks in tight. They are about 3/16th thick. Any sticky backed anti-slip product should work as long as you can compress it onto your desk. It is nice and solid and doesn’t not twist while using. ... show more

  • Garbage
Came heavily used with major paint scrapes. Missing all hardware; t-nuts, bolts, allen key. Anti Scratch/slip pad under top mounting bracket is just a sticker and was half peeled off. No Amount of adjusting will allow it to grip strong enough to not slide forward and angle itself on a fairly thick desk top. Do not recommend. Do not buy. ... show more

  • Exactly what I wanted! BUT..... Exactly what I wanted! BUT.....
I dont have enough room for a wheel stand or full on rig setup, so I was thinking of building an extension off of my desk to put the wheel in a more comfortable position for driving Sims. So I started looking on Amazon and BINGO! Found this! My first take its exactly what I wanted, and the shifter add on was a bonus. I thought it would put the shifter to close to the wheel but once in my desk chair its pretty spot on for comfortability. The adjustability is great although a little awkward at first when getting initially set up. In my situation, I just needed the wheel and shifter OFF the desk and dropped down just a little bit for better monitor veiwing and it did just that. The overall construction is solid! Brackets are thick and probably slightly overkill, the holes for mounting the wheel and shifter are spot on, but all this satisfaction did come with some downsides... INCLUDED HARDWARE: it comes with all hardware to get going, even some extra bolts to bolt your wheel and shifter down. BUT the bolts to bolt down the sliding wheel plate, and the sliding clamp were to short. Instructions say "use included M6x10 bolts" but then the hardware bag with them is labeled "M6x8" and they only catch a couple threads on the slide nut. Wasn't a problem on the clamp slider but the wheel bracket slider only caught 1 thread and I actually stripped one when I did final adjustments. So I went to lowes and bought "M6x10" bolts and definitely caught more threads and worked out great. USABILITY: While I like this product, I was disappointed once finally in use. With the wheel and shifter attached it kinda has a "bounce" or give to it. I think its because the shifter is hanging off the side it puts more weight away from the single clamping point and tends to flex alot when in use. Especially if using Logitech shifter and you need to push down for reverse it flexs downward so much I feel like im bending the whole unit. Now with just the wheel on there is pretty solid, but with the shifter floating off to the side just makes everything so flexy. After about 30 min I ended up supporting the shifter side of the platform with a spare piece of wood and some quick clamps which satisfied me...but now its a awkward rigged set up LOL. Ill figure out something better to stabilize soon. My take: if you need it just for the wheel, its a bigger winner! If your planning using the shifter platform be prepared to stabilize it somehow. ALSO since its only mounted by a single clamping point, this is probably not suitable for the aggressive Sim driver. It can shift and move slightly from time to time, even being easy on it....and its clamped down HARD! I will still use it regardless untill im able to buy or build something else. ... show more

  • Not worth the money
I wouldn't suggest it. Doesn't hold that great even when clamped down really tight. You are better of buying the whole mount that you can put your pedals and shifter on for a few more dollars.

  • Quality built mount
Great mount for my DD wheel and handbrake, very little flexing, the clamp has plenty of pressure to hold it securely to my desk. Assembly is easy.

  • Unclamps from desk
Doesn’t support the weight of the steering wheel and unclamps itself from the desk. Possible defected item. Unverified - Returned and not reordered.

  • Setup Anywhere!
The problem I've always had with my sim was that it takes an hour to setup or take down. Leaving it out just gets in the way. This is the perfect solution to my problem by mounting all of the steering hardware to one mounting point. It's durable enough to take rough races and mounts to just about any surface. It also has a cool red release handle like a mini bombardier release. Takes all the hassle out of setting up my simulator and is easy to stow away in a hall closet when not needed. ... show more

  • Poor Clamp
Listen to the reviews regarding the faulty clamp. I could crush it with my bare hands if I wasn't so skinny.
